Ok on my second trip to deepest cornwall in 3 wks and when i had my brake discs and pads changed in june they showed me my exhaust. To find stat housing just follow top rad hose back as the stat is connected to this and remember when refilling with coolant to set the interior temp to hot with a/c off if you have this fitted

on the subject of paint where is the vin plate located as i was looking for it halfords yesterday as i wanted a touch up stick for a few minor stone chips but gave up as i could not find vin plate for paint code

They maybe referring to the smoke check test where they stick a probe up the exhaust but this is part of an mot test and i would of thought part of the service too I think maybe they need a prob up there rear too !!!!!!!!! lol Leon
