open road and traffic i find putting heaters on full blast brings the temp down a bit i am beggining to think water pump impellors

Hiya All Had my galaxy 2.8 ghia i auto now for 4 yrs without any problems until now ive notice that she gets to hot the gauge goes right up but not into the red before she used to sit just above the white area i only have to do 10 miles then have to put the blower on which reduces the gauge enough to get me home ive changed the stat and checked hoses would a blocked matrix cause her to overheat and are there any hoses inside the car any pointers you could give me would be very helpful Thank You Galaxychap

Thought as much do these switches differ from yr to yr or are they much the same asking as i will have to so source one from a breakers because my local ford dealer says it is on order part which could take up to 3 days Regards Galaxychap

Hiya Guys On my way home from work i stopped at the co-op on my return i put key in ignition to start but nothing except dash lights would not turn over checked she was in park still no turn over gave the gear lever a shake then started home i went which is no further than 1/2 mile once home turned her off then tried to start same problem my immedeiate thought is the gear box inhibitor swich you know the one that stops you starting in gear. Anyone have any other ideas as to the problem and how do i check if it is this switch and where is it inside the car or underneath. she is a ford galaxy 2.8 ghia auto

Would also be handy if someone had a vag-com they could bring along as i know my car could do with a fault check being 10 yrs old.

i got hit with a fine and 3 points 3 wks ago the 30mph camera is on the mile end rd portsmouth its a dual carriageway just before the M275 and it is sited near the end of the 30 mph zone just before speed inc to 70 mph i was doing 36 mph as i just about to hit the motorway. i did not contest it as i thought if i did i could get hit with a bigger fine Galaxychap

Im not bothered about road tax increases as my mother in law is reg disabled and gets mobility allowance so as her nominated driver i get my tax paid by government anyway Galaxychap

may i also add thinking of the wife and kids alton towers is also good if your family is like mine not the least interested in car meets so they can go injoy themselfs in alton towers while we get down to the serious stuff lol galaxychap oh sorry been away for a while loads of decorating to do glad i had the galaxy lol :P

yup red lever under steering wheel on early models and later models like yours slide ford badge open on grill and insert ignition key

also check coil packs for cracks on top face i had same problem turned out to be them so with a liberal coating of epoxy resin to seal cracks all is now fine Regards Leon

cheapest place ive found for leads is gsf car parts just tell them its a sharan v6 there is avery good topic on leads on here by vr6 heres a link you may find useful ht leads

you can get cheap ones from halfords but i replaced mine 6 mths ago and got originals from local vw dealers yup very expensive but plugs are very important so chose to stick with originals

oh and i would not go for petrol as its a bit to strong rub to hard and you will have no paint left

yup tar and glue remover is what you need available from any good motor parts retailer i.e halfords

i have the same car and noticed this noise when going over humps in road if i take the humps square on it ok but if just the n/s set of wheels or o/s set go over its a right racket.
