hi seatkid the guy want's a bit of help & obviously want's to get familiar with thing's as his car will not always be under warranty it's fine to keep telling him (why not under warranty) but that's not always the answer as most of the mech ar muppet's as most of us have found out to our cost in the past. best to see for yourself to atleats try before using warranty option i'm sure you would agree ?

ruty on the account of the age of ur gal it should still be under warranty for the paint as it's working it's way from inside to outside if it happens agan try popping the bubble & check if water comes out if it doe's it's a biggy job to sort as it usually happens on the seals & wheel arches of most cars. my advice is take it back to where you got it & get them to sort it out i have been a paint sprayer for 25 yrs & it's the norm to sort out under warranty in this sort of case. if you do it yourself then do the following remove any liners under the arches remove old sealant/body protection clean & reusproof then make good the reapir & replace everything you have removed but re seal all bare metal & check it over whilst you are working on it do the same for all arches but it's usually the rear one's that give the trouble

i used superglue put a drop in the small hole.replace the horn button job done

had the same problem changed the ball joint now all is fine you can get them as a seperate not in pairs if you look around about

my 1997 gal makes a clunk noise ony if i have to turn corners & go over bump's. it's ok when going in a straight line it only happens when going really slow is this the drop link's someone said about ? if it is can i do them myself & how is it done & what sort of cost plzz it's a 2.0glx 1997 galaxy plzz post a pic of what i need to look for i cannot access my tis disk for some reason as it don't like to install on windows xp ?

read your original post you said front passenger side you will not get water there from the rear wiper or was it the tube that came away under the door cill at the fron't glad you sorted it though make sure the controll box under passenges seat is dry

undo 4-5 screws under wheel arch ( liner) put hand up inside & feel by the bulk head for a square flap pull it away & remove crap that's there you should get water cumming out now open bonnet & use water can to see if you have cleard it do same other side be more careful on drivers side as there are wirers there

garage parking try tying a tennis ball on string & hang off the garage roof(insinde garage) & position it so when you drive in it touches the windscreen & that's it, you stop when it touches , simple or place 4x2 wood on the floor infront of the front tyres so it acts like a kirb you then stop when you touch them simple really & cheap

kwik rip i recon look for a local independent fitter i use cabot tyres bristol they supply tyers to all fitting centres & they are a small family outfit but are cheap as they do a quick turaround & they don't spend on fancy furnishig's in their fitting shop keeps the price down 4 firestone reinforced tyres fitted balanced etc

undo 3-4 screws under the wheel arch that holds on the plastic liner pull it away soz you can get your hand under it . now put your hand up under but near to the bulk head & feel for a rubber shield. pull it off 7 water will flow out you can put it back on but i did not bother on mine 7 all seems ok . now get a watering can or hose pipe & apply some water under the bonnet by the bulk head (where water got in) now you should see water flowing from under the wheel arch. if you dont then you need to clear the blockage with a short length of wire & try it again put all parts back together & check under passengers seat & make sure the electic box is not wet & if it is remove it & dry it off by placing it it a warm place for 24 hours to dry it out this box controlls all the windows & cent locking etc all the best m8 oh do the same for the drivers side under the wheel arch but be careful as there are wires tthat side so don't go tugging on the first thing you get hold of lol

hi m8 that's what was happening to mine bad seal the bulb's has gone on the instrument panel nw the ones where the heater controls are how do i check or remove it ? the lishts work on the air con & circ controls but that's it any ideas ? also what fure do i look for

i think i sorted the water leak out it was the seal on the cap replaced it & turned it so it was bloody tight & it done the trick. i can live the oil as the car is running smooth & there is defo no leaks that i can see as i had a friend check it underneath & he said it was fine. fred i do apologise if i offended you saying my 2.0 pulled like a 2.8 i was trying to make a point as i get emails saying doe's it have enough power & is it pulling ok . that's why i put it in to save wasted emails m8 still friends i hope ?

it's bee pressure tested & it's fine it starts firt time all the time cold or hot it runs smoothly & pulls like a 2.8 there is no bubble in the exp tank that i can see m8 there is no leaks for hed case or pipes etc i recon it just uses oil & water but i'm no mechanic oh sorry engineer lol

hi guys i got a 2.0 petrol dohc 1997 65k gal there is no leaks anywhere & the oil is perfik claen. the prob i got (i am new to the galaxy) is it is on the max of the dip stick & min a month later. also the exp tank (rad) is to the max then min 4 week's later is this something i should worry about as the car is used around town & on short jurneys and there is no excess smoke from the exhaust or is there any white build up on any pipes or oil leaks on the head or on the floor . she pulls greeaaat so no probs there & i had it pressure checkd & all was fine is this common ??? any help would be great. thank's in advance
