  1. on the scuttle drains did you remove the underwing & pull off the rubber one way door that allows the water to escape under the wing from the hed nr the pollen filter i removed mine & never replaced then & all seem's fine now do it then try with a watering can to see if they are clear. make sure your not letting any water under the passengers seat or you will have problems
  2. i had a similar thing happen to an escort i had all i done was to change the connector that's on the engine case that tells the temp guage that it's hot & it kept overheating. find the lead & connector & try that i cut the old connector off & put a spade one on & it was fine then not sure if it will help but it's a cheap option to try first before you call into a garage
  3. ivor glad to hear it was a cheapo sort out for you on the expansion cap it's a bugger as i did not realise that you can give it a extra bit of welly & tighten it up really tight so the pic on the cap is upsidedown well on mie it is once it's fullt tightend happy motoring
  4. all sorted now i changed the expansoin cap on the bottle & it's now fine. it no longer uses oil i think it was a gremlin first off when i got the car but now she run's fine & uses very little oil & hardly any water only what you can expect it to use for std motoring thank's for all your help & advise on the matter
  5. get the plugs & ht leads checked it will make a diffrence as mine did as we got more power & less rpm's at the same speed.
  6. i got the mk1 galaxy with the slotted grill can i get something that look's better for her ? any help would be great & pic even better

  13. check the rim for miss alignement perhaps chage the wheel to the rear & put the back onto the fornt & see what happens it could be the caster & or camber take it to a mail dealer to look at as the tyre fitting places don't usually check as it's not a tyre job as it's more specialist job it's worth taking in to frauds to look at m8
  14. looking at the price for the tools perhaps it would be better to get it done in a garage then atleast you got some sort of warranty. the pollen filter is under the bulk head on the passengers side remove the 3 bolts that hold's the bulk head plate on & then you can remove & re-fit a new one it's a bit fiddly but cheaper than a garage to diy. best leave the belt to the garage i recon best of luck if you do try for yourself your a braver man than me as i just looked in a haynes manual & it look's bloody hard
  15. car sorted fitted new plugs & 1 ht lead lead number (cylinder)3 was the culprit not done in frauds as they wanted to do a diognostics first & that cost's more than the plugs as they needed changing once i looked at them. garage done the work
  16. i tried to remove the spark plugs but no luck booked into a small garage i have used in the past for tues morn i'll let you know how i get on with the old gal i recon it's a dodgy plug & lead still gonna cost a small fortune lol well that's the joy of an exec car
