Whilst in Scotland last week I put my rear heater on and within five minutes the car was so misted up I could barely see. Turned out a container of water to top up the washers had leaked about 3 pints of water onto the carpet! As for stinky stuff, I knew someone who had a six pinter of milk empty it's self in the boot of his Mondeo. And you really, really do not want that to happen!
The MOT station that I use does not do tyres, it does not do exhausts and it does not do repairs. And the tester knows me, and knows that I pretty much know MOT rules as well as a non-tester can.
I have an amp, but my radio/cd player is not wired through it. How good would people say the amp is and is it worth rewiring my Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB54 through it?
You need only have the brake pedal held firmly down when you loosen the hub-nut. And when you do it up again afterwards. If you don't have an assistant you do it with the wheel on and the car on the ground.
I still am! I have a bammer! It just is not a Ford and the post I was refering to questioned why Steve, who has a Sharan, was posting on a Ford forum, even though he is pretty much the resident audio expert!
If you appeal an MOT test result then the VOSA charge the full test fee and refund it if you are successful. They will contact the original testing station and point out the error of their ways! The VOSA also carry out checks on MOT stations by submitting cars for tests.
Have you actually removed the stop/tail bulbs and checked the filiments are not broken and shorting out? I know it sounds daft, but go with me on it.......
It should be a straight swap. In any case there is no 028-903-029-B alternator listed in any of my parts catalogues for a 1.9TDi Shalhaxy. It is a Hitachi made one for other models. Yours is you say a 028-903-028-E, that is listed as a 120 amp alternator for a TDi. As to compatability? Well he clearly states it is a Bosch item. So has he mistaken the 9 on the end of the part number, is it really an 8? If so then it is a Bosch alternator for a 1.9TDi. But your guess is as good as mine....
The heating elements are in two parts, but with only one set of wiring so the likelihood is a corroded or failed connector on the non-working side of the screen.
Thats the line Bridgestone took against the Ford Motor company..... (link) But then I suppose Mike Schumacher thinks they're OK A single specific tyre SK, can you not do better than that?
