  11. hi one way to tell is start engine and rev to 2000 then keeping revs steady press brake pedal if engine slows to idle your ecu will take a cruise control i dont know if its same for petrol i retro fitted mine using a kit from e-bay dead easy only 5 wires
  12. hi i believe they need to be enabled via vag com or similar ask your dealer to confirm its been done
  13. i mounted mine above my sunglasses holder in roof and took a feed from map light
  14. hi check the earth points for the headlight unit and also earth point at rear side/ brake light point also check wiring to rear light cluster

  18. ok whats your real name ? if it was me my first job would be to buy a couple of remote keys off e bay and get them programmed how many keys have you ? if you have 2 then you can program the new ones yourself for pats saving a fortune although not sure if you can disable existing keys without using vag-com or a dealer next would be to confirm all oil and filters were changed when you bought it then check brake pads and disks if you stick around here you will soon see what else can go wrong and check how your bits are

  20. hi ive not been a member long but ive always found people to be willing to help whenever they can and respond with factual imformation and from there own experience, some members obviously have huge personal knowlege that we draw on regularly others like myself can only offer generic advise it would be a shame to loose good members because what appear to be a minority of people feel they know best and say so in an unnessessary way perhaps because of the type of vehicle we drive many of us are a little more mature and this is reflected in our posts keep up the good work people and thanks

  23. wd 40 is good for some things but i would never use it round the ignition system if you get it on leads etc it can form a sticky residue and the high voltage attracts dust and sticks to it then if it gets damp it is worse than it was befor
