on mark 1 the tray pulled out for the optional 2007-2040 cd combination thought someone had retro fitted them but the loom and amp looked original and had been there for a long time.

i emailed haynes a while ago and they have no plans to release a manual as they feel there would be no interest. maybe they should look at forums like this before they decided? :unsure:

sounds like a faulty inhibitor switch :D

ive had same probs on mark1 and then on mark2-mark1 turned out to be furred contacts on control unit(silkolene contact cleaner sorted it) mark2 had to have a new door loom

ive got dunlop 2020 on mine can be slightly noisey on some roads but wearing very well.

hi guys after sorting brother inlaws melting fuse problem on his vr6 2.8 ghia x 97 it wont tick over fine prev but now is down to 500rpm. i have plugged in vag.com and is coming up with fault 00282-throttle position actuator (v60) 28-00-short to plus any ideas where it is or any pics ps lumpy upto about 200rpm thanks in advance guys

well what can i say,THANKS ALOT GUYS disconnected red/black feed to fan from fuseboard crimped section blue from heat ,cut away put new connector on but took supply from next free outlet as the original was slightly arcing. new fuse ran car for 2hours with fan on full power and front and rear screens on and no problems, fuse gets slightly warm but not remotly close to melting(presum due to currant being drawn through) once again thanks. :blink:

ive got one for a mk1 bought for my mk 2 but does not fit if anyone wants it?

hi tried new relay no change, but what i have noticed is everything is okay up until second bar on display whether rear screen on or off anything above that and the fuse gets hot and melts (quicker if you put it on full speed)rear screen makes no difference to how it reacts(rear heater works fine?
