Have you had opportunity to remove alternator and check the slip rings? (see photo's) this is the best i could do hope it helps

water inside passenger foot well is the general cause of electric windows failure central locking misbehaviour immobiliser working irratically...etc If there is any damp ingress in the CCU (central control unit) this will cause the above problems i havent lernt anything about parking sensors yet havent got them i like to feel my way in :lol: will phone a frend and see if i can find anything out for you -
heater box with dash removed i think you might be lucky and find its one of the ones on the right (near drivers legs)remove radio housing and centre console that top one aint to hard to reach if you have a glove box but a bugger if you got an airbag

i have one still on the car im braking its a 2.8 ghia x 1997 dont no if its the same if it is will just work somthing out with you for post or if you can come pick it up will take a photo of it in the morning and get a few details off it for you fingers crossed its the right one :lol:

a lot of the none genuine sensors we used to fitt involved cutting into the connection to reuse the old plug as long as soldered and covered properly do the same job and last just as long 90% of cars out there that have had a none genuine sensor have this done to them try another garage like you say looks like there trying to rip you off :lol:

better than that im stripping one a 1997 and have just removed the whole thing with the cd changer lead (full audio loom)its about 10 feet long but if needs must and you want to change the lot i got 1 and its out
