Indicators & Door Panels
whitty replied to springen's topic in What thing irritate you about your Galaxy
mine don't do it either i wish they did well exept for the bounce thing wouldn't want that ! my rear wiper does similar sometimes when you turn it off it sets the front ones going as if you operated the wash wipe -
would be nice if it was a witter they are usually good quality, seems a shameto have the bar there and not to be able to use it just because of this little bit
-
no this is the photo's of the 2 peices in the center of the bar. it's all still there bolted behind the bumper, the longer side is just visable under the bumper in the center and hardly anything is missing exept that center peice and the ball
-
ok guy's when i got the galaxy it had a bar fitted but some lovely chap (salesman probally) had removed the ball ect so basically the bar is all there with all the electricsbut i am missing the ball fitting and the ball what i'm trying to do is figure out what make the bar is so i dont have to replace the whole lot just get the missing part (basically main part of the bar to the ball) under the gal i have this part left so i am basically asking you all to go look at your bars and see if yours is the same and if it is let me know what brand of bar it is so i can get the parts to complete it many thanks in advance to you all for laying down and looking ! http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e51/WHITTY_1811_D/DSC00083-1.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e51/WHITTY_1811_D/DSC00081.jpg

will a normal ford 6000 cd player (rounded edge) fit a mk 2 galaxy? ie one like this http://i7.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/9a/bc/68ca_1_b.JPG rather than the proper square edged one if any one has done this have you got a picture ?

if regulator is rivited on there is no reason why you can't drill the rivits out and when you refit the new one do it with short bolts and lock nuts will be a sight easier than rivits

clock seems easy enough, its connecting it to the aux heater im interested in would be realy handy next winter when i leave for work @5.30 am to get in a way defrosted car rather than a block of ice. in fact if i can get it working i wont bother putting it in the roof if i dont need to, thought i'd cut it into rear of glovebox, not bothered at all by the clock part just the timer on the heater
-
As some of you may realise there was an option of a digital clock (roof mounted) that would also control/ act as a timer for the aux heater has anyone got this option?? has anyone try retro fitting it? has anyone dropped the headlining do they know if the wiring loom is there for it ? basically i'm thinking about doing this to mine ive got the vw part no's for the clock 7m3 919 203 ----- digital clock with heater pre selection switch or 7m3 919 203d ----digital clock with heater pre selection switch for modelswith side or curtain airbags 5/02 y20 pearl grey 5/02 8ys light beige but im not sure if theres another control unit for itor wether anyone has seen vag-com info on turning on a particular sector

if this has reared its ugly head since work done just check the wires going to it haven't been damaged while turbo being replaced -
make sure you do it after the intercooler too otherwise you will just end up with an intercooler full of cleaning fluid !
