Temperature Guage Not Working
NikpV replied to Buncers's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
definitely the light is on for longer if its cold but never 15 secs, more like 4/5 in very cold weather on our Gal -
Ps - I think there are two switches on the brake pedal :o

have you ever had the gearbox worked on , apparently unless supported correctly tension on the loom can break the wire, the problem is that your problem appears to clear after switching off and removing key without disturbing the 'break in the wire' which made me think of the switch because you would probably have to brake before turning engine off and at least apply the brake to disconnect the interlock before re-engaging drive so a dodgy switch may correct itself during this procedure if you see what I mean :o

we had this problem with the shift lock - was a dodgy brake pedal switch - sprayed with wd40 and its still going strong 3 years on :o :o (touch wood)

I think to remove the rubber boot covering the wires you need to quarter(or half) turn the plastic grommets and withdraw from door and pillar

Yes I checked it out earlier after glen's comments last night - intrestingly it seems you can hold private conversations by double clicking on a members name - a new window opens up.

While I have some sympathy with the sentiments I think that the blame cannot be laid totally at MO4s door, I have been 'active' here for several years but usually only post questions or answers when I have something concrete to contribute. Lately I have started to contribute to the 'tittle tattle' as have a few more members, the style of the forum has changed to more of a 'live chat' in some threads, this is more MO4s style :P The signal to noise ratio has definitely gone down recently I hope that the technical side is not being overwhelmed. MO4 don't take it personally but don't feel you have to contribute to every thread!!!

I don't think I did either - I asked for the recommended oil (on his website) - got the correct one but just seemed a bit expensive

I quite liked the little pink box idea (some of you may have been around long enough to have seen them) but I have no idea how they worked :( ;) See here

had a quick look - recommended oil is a bit pricey
