  1. Sorry, my info, just rambling really! Have you set it off yet?
  2. The most basic alarm systems (often the ones supplied OEM) only sense electrical current changes. I cant speak from experience with a galaxy as my Mk1 has a retro fitted laserline, but try locking the car with an open window and then reaching inside and operating some of the electrical equipment. On other fords there is a secondary horn that operates as a siren. This means you get an intermittent horn signal rather than a proper siren. This is always a secondary horn out of reach from under the engine compartment so that wires can not be pulled to silence the alarm. Obviously the VW influence with the "Sharalaxy" may make all the above information useless!
  3. OK, I now know its the mass air flow sensor, and where to find it. I will try disconnecting tomorrow and see what the results are.
  4. Thanks for that, but sounding stupid here, wheres the MAF sensor? And while were on the subject what's it do? Cheers.
  5. Hi there Im new to galaxies and have just bought a 1995 2.0 petrol GLX and im not sure if its running quite right! I know I sound a little vague here, but the car just seems a little flat during acceleration over 2k revs, almost as if i have a slight misfire. Its not as clear cut as an obvious misfire, it just seems to hold back a little whilst accelerating. The car starts and ticks over just fine and normal driving is no problem but if you put your foot down a bit it just seems a little sluggish. Any Ideas?
