Hi. Don't know if this should be in "Customising" or "Questions about" but in the end I opted for "Technical" as it may prove to be. If I picked wrongly, please will you move it Mods? Thanks Can anyone please advise, is it possible to swap swivelling front seat bottoms to seats that are , at present, non-swivelling? My new Galaxy has immaculate upholstery, dvd screens in the headrests but non-swivelling seats, which I really wanted. I want to swap the swivelling seat bottoms (Potentially keeping my current upholstery) with a friend who has a set of swivelling seats, with no dvd screens and older, more soiled upholstery. I guess, what I want to do is to swap over the seat backs and then remove the upholstered seat cushion from the frame & base, to enable the swap. If this transplant is indeed possible, how is it performed please? Has anyone done this surgery? Many thanks

Hi. Well I've taken the plunge and bought in to the Galaxy community with my shiny new (Slightly used) 2005/05 Tdi Ghia 130. (Anyone want to buy a 67k 55 Plate Tdi Passat Estate? :lol: ) However, there is, on the N/S of the tailgate, in the bottom corner of the rear window area, some surface rust that has been "Penned in" with a Halfords stick. Also, it looks like the rear window rubber is perished in this area. Is this a common issue? How easy / hard is it to remove the rear window (And how do you go about it) to access the corrosion to treat & repaint? anyone got an idea how much it would cost for a body shop to do the job? Also, the bonnet looks like it's been in front of a firing squad! Any ideas on the price to paint a bonnet? Many thanks folks

Hi folks. I'm looking in earnest for my first Galaxy, jumping ship from a succession of 5 VW Passat Tdi estates, now that I need more carrying capacity for the kid's bikes and stuff and although quite excited about the prospect, I'm baffled about the amount of spec variation available on the MKll (2002 to 2005 years - which are in my price bracket.) I've decided I want the Tdi Ghia but I can't work out what all the various "Packs" include, such as Entertainment pack etc . . . . can anyone please advise? (And what does MY mean in an advert?) I know that ideally, I want the following items to be in the spec but I don't know if they came as a "Standard" issue or as an "Extra", again, could anyone advise please? Privacy Glass Leather upholstery (Does leather upholstery mean that the seats are automatically heated?) Heated windscreen Swivelling front seats Trip Computer Climate Control Front parking sensors ESP (Traction Control) Electrically operated rear quarter-lights Front Fog Lights CD Multi-changer Cruise Control Rear Load-Cover Blind Also, could anyone please tell me how to make swivelling seats swivel? Where is the lever? I guess it's also important to ask if there are any "Common" issues with Galaxy's that I should be aware of before buying, bodywork, electrics or mechanical problems? Finally, at what mileage / interval should a Tdi have a cambelt change?
