  1. Only reason I'm asking is that I suffer from the limp mode frequently when driving, BUT this past week it hasn't happened which is strange, not that I'm complaining. So I'm thinking its not enough fuel getting in? Correct me if I'm wrong though. I have changed the MAF. I'm about to order a new fuel filter, cat, air filter, HT leads, spark plugs and hope that will help a bit more
  2. Bringing an old post back to life here, What do you use to clamp the fuel lines? Is there any special tool required?
  3. Just bought some redex For the car, if I fill up £20 can I still put some in. On the bottle it says use 1/2. So £20 petrol roughly 1/4 bottle? Will it still work? Thanks

  5. Check the brake light switch on the brake pedal. Mine was faulty. Easy fix
  6. I had that on my galaxy, but when I locked the car the boot opened, found 8 wires had been cut by the metal, so fixed them all. All working now.

  8. how do you all remove the egr valve, ive just been trying for the past 2 hours and had trouble getting any tools down there. i know the bolts are 10mm, what about the pipe bolt size? i know there is alot of topics about the egr, but nothing really detailed enough, I do have a haynes manual, but its v basic instructions any help is most welcome. anyone in the essex area to gimme a hand would be even better :P thankssssssssss
  9. I had that on my focus when I had it, coz u ran out of fuel u need to get it back into the system, took me 15-20 min to get it started eventually, it did cut out a couple times within that time, keep trying every minute or so. Worked for me
  10. I have the same issue, is yours a mk1 jasonic? Mine flashes on and off v quickly and doesn't remember setting either.
  11. Thanks again Brian :-) I changed the maf the other day and the car hasn't slowed down yet, so fingers crossed. If mine does have an EGR I'm gonna remove and clean it anyway.

  15. I have no idea, I was only going by the fault code and what I've been told here.
  16. I didn't even go under the car. Only thing I can think of is the connector just past the MAF. I didn't even find the EGR. Is it the thing to the right of the engine with a pip on top?

P0131 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Out of Range Low Voltage After changing the MAF sensor and taking the car for a spin (8 miles) and not going in limp mode after stopping at a supermarket, I use the code reader to check and got the above fault. I must have done something when changing the maf or searching for the EGR. Any advice please as to where this is as I did disconnect a couple of connectors. Thankyou
  18. I've changed the MAF, but I can't find the EGR. Is it at the back of the engine bay on the 'wall' with 2 bolts and 2 rubber pipes? That's all I can see that resembles an EGR. Please help.
  19. I'm going to be removing it on Saturday and cleaning it, got a set of wire brushes and cleaner. So going to be doing that and changing the maf at the same time. Thanks brian
  20. Yea, cheap but cheerful. I was pleased with it. Ok you have to look up the codes with software but that doesn't bother me at all. So I thankyou for the link :-)

  24. Does that mean I have to remove the battery? Are there any pics Brian? I'm gonna sound stupid, but what is the bulkhead? Sounds complicated
