I have a Bluetooth stereo with a mic for calls inbuilt into it. BUT I'd like an external microphone of some sort so ppl can hear me when I'm driving. Is there anything on the market for it? I only have a cheapy one from eBay. http://bit.ly/OhGsQz Any advice?

Even if you have had the car for 3 months and it goes wrong, under the sales of goods act you can legally get the garage to fix it. If private - not 100% sure.

I've been told that if the car has an EGR valve, get that off as it will be clogged up with carbon. I would but my hands are so big and access is very difficult, if it was near the front of the engine it would be ok, but oh no. It's at the back and you have to remove the bulk head where the window wiper motor is. That's fun in itself. I've Ben trying to make the car go in limp mode to try and rule out anything but it isn't working. The only way I CAN do it is pulling away in 2nd or 3rd gear. Which to me seems like its fuel or air. Hence why I need to change the fuel filter but a bolt has seized and I need to find the best way to remove it.

Lol, driver installed but now it can't connect to the controller Had this issue for ages now and my mot is due soon.

All sorted now. Locking mechanism was at fault. Would lock but not unlock. All changed and working now.

Got the driver installed, haven't tried it yet though. I'm in Basildon, Essex.

Lol that's ok Dave, what can I use to apply power to the lock?

There's loads of topics here about MAF and limp mode, I have the same issue. All I have done so far is change the MAF, put redex in and cleaned the air filter. I'm going to be changing the oil and fuel filter soon. Mine hasn't gone in limp for about 3 weeks now. Some people say it could be the EGR valve. (All we know is, his called the stig) sorry that had to be said hahaha.

Just tried again seatkid with pulling on both handles and the internal handle isn't as stiff as it should be. Feels like its not connected to anything, won't lock or unlock with that. Even the external handle is the time. Can't see anything obvious that's stuck, just want to get this sorted as I have 5 kids to get in the car each day with a 5 month old, that isn't easy.

And I have already tried forcing the door to no avail.

Eeerrrrrrm u said apply 12 volts but didn't say what to use to apply these 12 volts, I am listening!

Just received my new locking mechanism, next part is removing the old one when I can't open the door, how do I apply direct power to the old mech and get this door open, please help.

Brian, i just can't anything to work with vag com. Tried all the ports etc. only I see now is that I've not long ago updated to windows 8, hopefully that won't impair me anymore with getting the cable driver to work.

Fuse? I can't even get my vag com to talk to the air bag :/

Ok cool, might give it a try then, gonna have a look. How do I know if it is the clock spring at fault or is it process of elimination?

Nope not just you ;) I haven't actually started on the airbag light properly yet. I'm hoping its easy enough. The thought of having to remove the airbag is daunting. BAAAANG

Same issue here, if the airbag light is on, will it be the clock spring or fuse or both? Also with vag com I have the same message.

I have exactly the same issue, have checked one set of wires in the door, all seems intact, unlocked and locked the door several times, the lock is trying to unlock but clunking and won't release. Going to try and manually open the door. My research has lead to the locking rod fallen off or locking mech is broken.

What do I use for this? All the wires seem ok to me The locking is making noises but sounds like it isn't catching, could it be the locking rod?

Those cables are for the speaker so now I'm back to square 1. Can anyone help please
