  1. I think there is a separate condenser unit for the rear unit. All the workings are behind the rear side panel.
  2. It could be something to do with the AVC (Automatic Volume Control) setting. This is normally used to increase the volume according to ambient noise but could interfere with what you are doing. I'm not sure but it may be worth messing about with the AVC levels to see if it improves.
  3. Sounds like it's been over filled. I would doubt if yours has dual a/c as standard. If over filled the pressure switch kicks in and stops the system to prevent damage. Same thing happens when low pressure applies.
  4. Do a search for ETIS and enter your vehicle registration and it should give you some build details.
  5. Has your car got the power shift transmission? If so the fluid should be changed every two years at the time as a two year service. The power shift burns the ATF quite badly and this is why it should be changed. I think Fords charge about £240 on top of the normal service. Do a Google search.
  6. I can't remember, does the 6000 unit support a multi changer?
  7. The 65 is the height of the side wall, 60 being lower than 65. They should be extra load though.
  8. I know on the 2010 onwards Ford enhanced the lighting so may be worth checking the electrical connections.
  9. Could be a cell failed internally.
  10. Sorry calcium battery. Not lead acid.
  11. What type of battery has been fitted? Should be a nickel calcium.
  12. My car is like a mobile computer. Sorry I didn't notice yours was manual. I would imagine the extra power is done through remapping but I don't really know, goes well though. If you put a message up asking Admin to update your profile, that's what I had to do. I also ended up with a go faster scooter on my profile...........................................
  13. OK. Just making sure you was aware and not thinking it was like the MK2. By the way my auto box just had a software update and is now nice and smooth. Not sure if a non dealer can do it though.
  14. How many miles has your Galaxy done? The cam belt on these are every 10 years or 125k.
  15. I meant two clips not who ones........
  16. Job done. You have to remove the panel underneath the bumper, 6 x 8mm, 3 x 10mm bolts and who clips in the centre. You can then get access to the rear of the light assembly, very fiddly on the passenger side due to the washer bottle being in the way. Fitted Osram LEDs with a diffuser fitted. They are a crisp white and not blue.
  17. I've been advised by a Ford mechanic to try and gain access through the wheel arch by removing a panel. He said the light unit is known to be very difficult to remove. So I'm arranging for him to do it. :16:
  18. Sticking brakes on the caravan?
  19. Could not do it. Removed the bottom bolt ok but could not prise out the light assembly without the fear of breaking something. I tried using plastic tyre levers.
  20. Thanks for the info chrispb123456. I'll give it a go when it gets a bit warmer.
  21. Does anyone know how to replace the front sidelight bulbs on a MK3? Thanks
  22. Get the ATF checked/replaced as the first option. Quite a common fault.
  23. Apparently the PowerShift has to have the ATF (7 litres) and filter changed every three years, or every 37.5k. Something to do with the ATF getting "burned" badly. Prices seem to vary from
  24. It seems I have the AF21 FWD Aisin-Warner gearbox.
  25. Hi Gregers. Thanks for the reply. They said they checked ETIS and my gearbox wasn't listed for the service schedule.
