Any help appreciated Last month or so my speedo has stopped working during wet weather and now also abs light and hand break light comes on also. Resets when engine started again only for it to come back on. Also drives in limp mode when this happens Rev counter works fine Changed the clocks but same issue Maybe water in a wiring somewhere ?? Any thoughts ?? 2007 galaxy tdi manual

No bubbling from water coolant I do get a plume of white/silver smoke on start up which does become a clear smoke after a short run but it's a mixture if oil leaking and more oil consumption

Hi It would appear I've got oil seeping from the head gasket on my 2000 mark 2 Any idea on costs for replacing?

Anyone know where I can get a engine mount and bolts for mark 2 around northwest today? The mount that's under battery tray on gearbox

Getting a mixture of grey (ish) and black (ish) smoke whilst building up speed (ok on tickerover) Been told it could be a number of things just want your thoughts please. Going to clean EGR valve first but if that doesn't cure it what do you guys think should be the next step

Only notice it at night when a car with headlights on is directly behind me. Slight smoke on engine start but nothing too bad. Am I looking just looking at a bottle of something to put in the fuel to clear this up? It's nothing drastic like I say

Just been told could be driveshaft Mechanic had it off yesterday and put back on wondering if he's disturbed something and its causing it to shake while driving? Seems odd that its only happened since then rather than gearbox

One thing to add (probably unrelated) if engine at idle in neutral ticks over fine if revved to about 1100rpm slight vibration and wobbly feeling over that seems to rev fine no "wobbling"

Ok I've started new thread see what u guys think Now have a "shaky" drive Feels like a wobbling car while driving there is a slight "wearing" noise (usually if wheel bearing is gone but its not that) it is clunky during gear selection but its always been like that since I've had it (2 years) mechanic thinks gearbox problem Would it be complete change of specific fault which could be repaired cheaper? Any thoughts ?

Changed maf slight improvement But shaking while driving still there mechanic thinks its the gear box :-(

At garage right now he's driving it with vagcom Bought maf Runs same with it plugged out Will update soon

I've plugged into a fault code reader and its come up no faults found

Hmmmmm just thinking my mechanic moved the fuel filter earlier today to get to the speed sensor could moving it have maybe caused this issue as it wasn't an issue before it went on the ramp

Ok an update.... After a couple of hours driving a 10 blast down the motorway it seemed to return to normal for about 90 min happy day I think I then switch engine off to get diesel start up again and the problem returns DAMN!!! Take it on motorway again but this time still same problem. I keep plodding away for about 30 minutes and it gets gradually worse and almost feels like I'm driving on wobbly wheels . I unplug maf and drive for a bit and runs about the same plug it back in and still no joy Now I will try buy new maf tomorrow BUT something is telling me its not that(I'm no mechanic) but with the wobbling feeling I'm thinking maybe more to do with engine or gearbox????? It's ok rolling in neutral I'm very confused and its battering my head and wallet

I think this maybe mass air but all of a sudden today my 1.9tdi has become very sluggish in 3rd and 4th Any suggestions?
