I just feel daft as i made a stupid mistake near the end of my test...as i checked my blind spot b4 changing lanes...my grip on the wheel slipped so i veered towards the kerb...safety issue!!!otherwise i did fine.5 minors and i went on the magic on my test and i knew where i was going on it!!!.. :o Ah well...booking it again for beginning of march.for the 4th time!!!!.... :) thankyou all for your good luck...i was really looking forward to being able to take the gal apart(once we get it back that is).. ;)

This is a widely covered subject and the answer is usually to with the pipe for the rear washer leaking into the footwell...do a search and youll get more info....(i could be wrong on the pipe! :rolleyes: )

If i am correct in thinking that the maf is that big black thing on the left under the hood and it has a thingy you can detach but have to be careful and not get the gold colourd thingies dirty...then ours has been disconnected for ruddy months as hubby refuses to pay nearly 300 to get a new air flow didgerydo fitted as the guy said that the engine would have to come out.Hmm....pics would be nice so im with you on this one.I know that you can get air flow thingies on ebay.... :P As to what you originally asked...our car lost its oomph...thingy got disconnected then car got oomph back/(think its in limp mode but not sure...not too clued up on this aspect of our car)...reminds me...got to ring garahe see if they fixed the bloody thing yet.(diff prob!!) :P

Get another couple of quotes and see how you feel....wen i got our last battery i told the garage exactly what i wanted (according to the specs in the handbook)...guy i spoke to said that he didnt realice there were acid batteries and calcium ones.(if i remember correctly) :P . BUT....i like to do thingsaccording to the manual(sometimes anyway)... as i said get another couple of quotes then see how the pricing goes..get one mid range price if you worried about getting an ultra cheap one. :P
