the casing was broken in transit..the delivery guy dropped it..yes i know it looks rough and i will get a refund..i hadnt seen the alt b4 i bought it..i wont make the same mistake twice.

if the diode pack was ok on this one...could it not be fitted to our one????hubby looked at the pic and immediately said send it back..phoned keith and he said that ok it looks crap..hes had to replace a wire in it but he will try it...i dont know <_< a lot about alts....i guess ill learn for the future

ive been reading this topic with some interest as we have one door that does not sit right...its the passenger rear door.when closed it still looks like it is open a few mms and there is no clunk when shut and if you take the childlock off and open it from the inside...it opens with hardly a touch...just swings right open...it has been looked at but been told that ther is nothing that can be done. <_<

Tanks SK...exactly what keith said when he picked up it not 15 mins ago.Makes me feel like a right mug for the amount i paid for it. the one taken off our car looks brand new compared to this one. well ive asked him(keith), if there is any way we can get one working alt from the 2 of them.the one i bought came with a 4 month guarentee so i guess im covered there....but i still feel like a tit. :) <_< :)

Ha!!..did it..have informed the supplier and he suggests that it should be ok but if any probs to let him know and hell either give a full refund or source another one

can a 7000rds unit be fitted into a galaxy???daft q i know but there is one going on ebay with all the leads etc and it looks quite nice!!(yes yes being female i go for the cosmetic look and nowt else!)just wondered if all i had to do was pop our old one out and slip this one in with out having to alter things to make it fit...i know its in my audio guide, but i guess i just needed reassurance(like all females do) <_<

i have 2 cd changers...hubby wants to get a whole new unit for the car(ie..a front loading cd one)May as well as flog em on ebay as faulty then

5000 series i think...has a tape cassette on it aswell.

so its not the head unit...in my book under cd changer and error codes..it means internal fault with the cd unit...is that the bit on the head unit???or the changer??

is the problem with the head unit when it says error code 5 or is it with the changer?

Wi th all the sicussions on eror code 5 which states an internal error..has anyone ever been able to fix it???can i take the head unit out and check the wires or is it more complicated than that? ive been looking at head units on ebay and seen a couple like the one we have already...we have 2 cd changers and we can get neither to workwith the head unit we have.keeps coming up code 5..tried all the suggestions that have been posted before but does not rectify the problem :(
