The MAF can go slowly so you do get used to it untill suddenly you realise that there is something wrong,i dont know enough of anything else that can go wrong so i cant advise you that it could be something else..but i do know about MAFS!! does the car feel different going up inclines/hills?does it struggle??ours now zips up them like a bat out of hell..before we had to crawl up in 2nd at 20mph!

Hmm..have you noticed a lack of power at all???has the oomph gone out of the car???is it slow to accelerate?? since i put my new MAF on i must say that i have not checked my mpg..but when the old one was disconnectde,,we were getting about just over 40mpg. Ill check mine out once i get the wiper linkage back on.. Marian. ps..you could try disconnecting the MAF..see if there is a difference in running..if there is a difference then i would think its not your MAF..if no difference,,could be your MAF. But..i may be wrong!(Go on..MM..you know more than me!!) :lol:

it looks to me that one side is not looked..if it wobbles it may not be locked..also...anything gets in those cavities..i take my seats out and hoover the cavities often. :huh:

Hmm....he took it out for me.( the linkage).i have the job of greasing it all night till it works loose( the spindles).then it will be time to put it back in again..( the linkage!!) It was a lot harder than i thought..wasnt sure at first if i was getting all the right bits off. Thank you Neil..its what the forum is all about and for..helping each other. :huh:

Ok..whole thing is loose...but i cant manoever it out..at the back there seems to be something black attached to the linkage which is i believe the cable for the plug...How do i manoever the linkage out without damaging anything?

well what i was doing was getting together the info i needed in one place....but im stuck. i know i usually ramble to myself,,i just thought it would be easier to have it all in one place rather than several windows open..ill delete it all once im done. I just cant get the motor unplugged..ive squeezed the tabs,wiggled and pulled..but it wont budge.

Ok..ive tried wiggling and pulling but i cant get the wiper motor unplugged. any ideas?

I cant get one of the wiper arms off....ive sprayed with wd40 like zork suggested in my original post..any ideas??

Well...i did get a big drill for my birthday last year with all the bits for it...dont think im gonna need it for this job though..(pity..) Ah..you mean like when im putting a nail into a wall,,and the nail bends before the head of a hammer has any marks on it??this would be the other way round if a copper one. Got it

Ok..ive been looking at all the different threads on the wiper prob and i have decided to take my linkage out today and get it sorted as liast night driving home in the dark and rain my wipers stopped..even on top speed.got to be the linkage. One question first,what is the best thing to regrease with as there seem to be different ideas on what to use...Im asking now as i am presuming that once you take the wipers off the car is undriveable. We need to get this sorted as we are going away on thurs..gives me a couple of days to get the linkage off,clean and regrease then try and put it all back together without breaking/missing things. Are there also any special tools i need apart from the customery hammer?? B)

When our parking sensors died ..we got a long continuous sound...it was found that the unit was water logged..had to get a new one and new sensors..

I think it is for between 5 and 15 minutes.some say 5...some say 15 minutes Make sure you know your radio code as you will need to input it again
