Ok..spindle is free.....i took it to a garage who clamped it in a vice..took 10/15 mins of sweat blood and tears as i had to hold one end while he manipulated it after popping the ball thingy..the friction was enough to cause smoke from the shaft..but its out. He said that it was a wonder the wipers had worked at all as it was seized solid... Thanks everyone for your info and putting up with me gibbering on today. :o Fun will start when it comes to putting it all back together in the car! :D :D :D

Yes you are right...but how am i going to get it to said friendly workshop?...i cant pop the ball..ive just broke a screwdriver in half trying

Ok..in case you havent got a clue what i mean..here is the underside of the other end.

I cant remove the linkage from the bottom of the spindle that will not move..the one that is free had a bolt..the one that is stuck just has summit flat..ive tried..but the spindle will not move. any ideas please? as i need to get the car back on the road?

Success with one!!think i took it off right..slid the shaft up and over the top of the spindle...there is a washer at the bottom of the spindle...sorry bout the quality of photo.

Its sat on my kitchen floor getting sqirted with wd40 so i can fee up the spindles a bit..one is moving a bit inside the shaft..the other is like me..stubborn and wont budge! :lol:
