Am not impressed today :angry: .Driving down the road when i hear a loud clacking sound.i did an emergency stop as i thought summit had fallen off the car. Got out,had a look and i find a chunk of metal sticking out of the front right tyre..the new one i might add that we got fleeced for from the nameless garage. Hmm...didnt have a clue as to what to do as car was in centre of road and i didnt want to move it in case it made things worse. So i knocked on a door and a kind bloke came and had a looksie for me,knew it wasnt good when when he whistled and said "look at the size of that"! so a tyre change was in order.Not a good day. He said it should be repairable...if its not im really going to be annoyed. :ph34r: Ok..guess id better have a techy question....why do the garages put the nuts on so tight that you practically break your hand trying to get the nuts off???

well....sort of..im doing ok so far!

This fishy is looking for a home..(poss 2 of them)hubby brought it home from work as it was in a tank with lots of diff fish and it was getting nipped at by the other fish.It has what i believe is swim belly/bladder and it looks like a few of its scales has been munched by something. Now i know this is way off topic but i am desperately trying to find this fish a home as we cant keep it as we have normal goldfish and this one needs to be kept at above 14/15c.I have it in a hospital tank at the mo where it is getting the meds it needs.. Can any one help????it does have a partner which is still in the original tank on camp...which can come with it aswell..these fishies are free.Ive been given the task of rehomeing. Yes ive tried locally...no one interested. sorry peeps.

Right..you will all be pleased to know that i got the ruddy thing back on again!!..this was after a few hours of trying to fit the bloody thing wondering why it would not fit. Want to know why it would not fit??? Of course you do so you can have a good laugh coz believe me..my hubby laughed.. Neil rang to say hed come and have a look as to why i could not get the holes to match up..i thought id give it one more go,so draped over the engine bay with linkage in hand,i slipped...which meant linkage dropped a wee bit..when it did the holes lined up!!what was i trying to do??the middle of the linkage where the bolt goes..i was trying to put it on top of the hole instead of under it.. I thought hmm...i had a quick gander on here at the pic i posted (so glad i did now)..realised that id spent the last few hours trying to fit the bloody thing in wrong. By the time neil arrived i had fit the linkage on..reattached air filter thingy and maf...neil re fitted wipers/black shelf thingy and the rubber bit as i had poorly daughter in arms as shed just woken up.. You can laugh now.I did take sum pics which ill post a bit later... :o :o :( Marian. P.s..the wipers work!!..god im good!!

all i can see behind the lower grill is the radiator,had hubby under the car having a look and he cant see anything on the undertray..i can only think that it has got wedged somewhere..but i cant see it..its one of the linkage bol thingies i dropped Ok..update..got bolt..wasnt on undertray..was hanging off it!!.thanks for all suggestions. :D

Really???ive just jacked the car up one side..ill grab a fridge magnet!! :D

ok...prob no 2....(1st not resolved..) dropped a bloody bolt into engine bay..how do i get it out???cant see it.

ok..first problem. cant get all 3 holes lined up..checked linkage in park position.

Right..chucking it down outside but today is the day i get the linkage and wipers back on the car..didnt do it yesterday as i was ill,better now though.ill try and take pics as i go along but i cant swear on the quality of them! Wish me luck as i think im gonna need it..(hmm...also need to get sum super glue to fix the plastic bit i broke..maybe sum type of rubber glue???who knows.!) :D :D

Yes i did check that they moved freely and yes they do. I used copper ease as that is what was recommended by MM and the guy in the shop i spoke to at motorsave. If i end up in the same predicament again..at least i will know how to rectify the problem and maybe try something else as a lube.

Right..spindles clean...greased..(think i put too much on as when i put the spindles in the shafts the stuff squirted every where.) I put copper grease on the spindles and in the shaft..once spindles in shaft and clips back on,i wiped away the excess grease. All that is left is reassembly!! :D Ill do it tomorrow in daylight so i can take pics as i do each step. That way there are pics to show for any one else who does this delightful job! :D :o
