  1. very good idea there greg.if i dont get round to it today..im sure neil or MM will..as ive just bought a huge ,heavy, made the car work with a heavy load chest of drawers!!I could feel it in the pull of the car...going uphill was not funny as i couldnt see out the back window and i was going at 40mph even though it was 60 as it is a dangerous road that has sharp bends one after the other..last thing i would have needed was the thing smashing the rear window!!last time i went on that road i went too wide and ended up on the other side of the road with a car heading towards me..nice drop on the edge of the road aswell!!! Any way..im rambling again.. Brilliant idea.......will be done...(i think)
  2. I know that feeling well Teresa!! ..hubby is exactly the same.. How old is she Nik?????we allways tell the kids that we are moveing and roughly when and always keep them imformed of whats going on..mod moves are diff as we dont always see the house before we actually move in...we dont usually get a choice as to which house either!!removals are booked for us..but we still have to pack..deal with sum1 coming round doing estimates on volume..we have to change schools...etcc......we also have to leave the house spotless...including cooker etc..if its not up to standard we get charged for it. i think the only difference between moving in civvy street and moving in the Forces..is that removals are booked for us..and we dont get a choice as to where we go. if you need any help..let me know..if i can help then i will. :D
  3. Awww blessss her.... My kids have moved no problems..weve had 5 moves in 5 years...easy while they are young, once they jit school it has been ok..there is an initial settling in bit, weve been lucky so far as have moved in holiday time so they have got to know other kids before they have started school...to begin with we might get..i dont have any friends or i want to go back..but that stopps after a couple of weeks. kids settle down a lot quicker than adults..and as you may be moving only 30 miles away..you could always say...that you can take em to see old friends., where with ours its been the other side of the country!!!!..kent to the shetlands...then to lincoln..then to scotland...then to here..on one camp we moved across the road as needed a bigger house!! kids adapt easy.....alot more so than adults sometimes!!! you have to make it interesting..like...you can write letters to friends and get post all of your own!!!..my eldest still writes to friends she used to have..just to get mail!! :D
  4. boys are soooo much easier than girls!!!!!!none of this "ive got nothing to wear !!" malarky....... yup..our eldest been like it since the age of 6....only now she will go thru clobber like there is no tomorrow..buy her a skirt that she chooses...2 days later she refuses to wear it as she doesnt like it any more!!!! :( And ive got 3 of em!!!god help us when they are all teens and start chasing boys..............im saving already for a flat..gonna be a race between me and hubby as to who gets it first!!!!! :D

  8. scuse me but yesterday....i mowed the garden..washed/waxed and buffed the car to a gleam..i polished the windows inside and out of the car...picked up all sweetie/crisp wrappers out of it etcc.... I also scrubbed the path where my beloved daughter had done hand and feet painting with an icecream and we had millions of ants swarming the place....i did the shopping with 4 kids who scattered as soon as i entered the shop...(not funny shouting at the top of my voice that they had till the count of 3 to get back to me now!!) i cleaned the house/tidied the garden/buried a dead bird out of garden/did the washing/coped with son who got into a fight and had the other lads parents at the door(go on my son!!) i coped with a sullen 8 yr old who didnt have the "right skirt" to go with a top she wanted to wear. then to top it off..hubby comes home after tea..says.."the car looks nice dear.."he looks at the destruction that always happens after tea..and says.."been sat on the pc all day again have you??" AAARRRGGHHH!!!!!!!! Took me hours to do the car...well...2 actually. sometimes i wish i could just sit and drink tea all day and yap and take a breather!!..but that would be ..um...nah....couldnt do it.tooooo much to do!! :( :D  :(
  9. I would write to the dealer principal along the lines of Due to the fact the car has spent 42 days of my 58 days ownership with you being repaired you now feel it's time to reject the vehicle on the ground of it's unfit for the purpose for which it was sold. Hopefully they will take back the troublesome one and give you a newer one as compensation. Regards - JB I agree with Jb here..42 out of 58????that is taking the micky really...technically you are paying for a car to sit off road..i mean..car tax/insurance/repayments(if any).......so id ask for a refund or another car to the same spec. id also write down any loss of earnings, telephone costs, and claim them back aswell..
  10. Im starting to think we need a separate section for any thing to do with ebay!! any one agree??? :D

  19. ruddy eck.......smashing aye when i run when they whack me in the face........how do you know any way?????dont think ive flashed em recently????
  20. child minders....now they can charge what they like because they are neede!!!! round here i wouldnt use any of them as ive seen how they treat the kids they look after..3 in particular i dont know how they get away with sitting in a coffee shop and leaving the poor kids strapped in a pushchair for the morning. it beggers belief.......but i know one of them charges 700 for the month and that is part time!!!20 afternoons a month. 6 weeks off school in the summer is too much..when that is the most expensive time to go anywhere or do anything!!!!!!..why do people put they prices up then???shouldnt be allowed. thats why we havent had a holiday for ruddy years.
  21. aww....you sound just like me.......though i do get hubby to bath the kids..as you say...coz you aint seem em all day!!
  22. i never put it on..the guys who took the punctured wheel off originally did..i didnt know you werent supposed to.
  23. The Maf.....sounds like it to me anyway...disconnect it and if car is better....then you need a new one simple to do..just unplug it...then go for a drive..if it runs better..then its naffed...if no different,,then its summit else!! ..then you can reconnect the maf back up knowing that it is ok. im not techy minded..but i replaced the maf on mine
  24. I got a puppy cage...going free if you want..seen some use..but it works fine.
