Source the part you need...and pay yourself to fix.shows you how to do it on the TIS disc...think it does ..sure i saw it on my one when i was looking for summit else i never found! :angry: If it were me..id do it myself...plus stick to your guns and tell exactly what happend.

Yep..thats who we with.went from 1020 to 575.!..of course..that with me as main and other half sa named with points and claim under his belt.Plus ive only just passed my test! :angry: (there was a collective sigh of relief around the forum once i did!! :blink: )

I never said id remove the bulb and sell the car..shes my baby and my pride and joy..(even though buhhy is building a collection of bumps and scrapes on her! ;) ) I will remember to drain the excess oil..i shall attempt to do that once ive read up on it and see pictures so i know exactly what im doing to where! :rolleyes: Im def sure its oil level as ive dealt with oil pressure before.two different warning lights.(well..so ive seen in my car) ;)

wow.have a gander on ebay.there is also loads of info on how to programme your new key on this forum..it is also in my galaxy manual aswell,so should be in yours. :rolleyes:

right.after much experimentation on getting the excess oil out through the dipstick hole with straws and tubes,i finally decided to disconnect the battery and see if that helped. It did. the light is now off and no more oil level warnings. Thank god for that. :rolleyes: Thanks for all the advice and helpful hints. ;)

Yes its level im on about....in your last para..if what you say is true..then 1 litre would not overfill it??if as you say the diff between min and max is about 1 litre? the garage didnt have any other oil at all..it was either that or oil for a petrol engine.

Ok..i've learned a very hard lesson here..hope that i havent damaged the car at all....i am assumeing now that the level warning is still on as there is too much oil in the car Once ive sorted the oil..is there anythig i should be listening or looking for that will tell me if there are any problems?

um....where would the switch be? so technically..i overfilled the car.i thought that min meant nearly empty thats why i poured the whole lot in

Its been suggested that i can suck out the excess oil through the hole where the dip stick goes.is this possible?
