we average around 50/53 mpg at 60/65mph. short journeys not so good!!!!75-85mph is about 37/43 mpg.(not that i go that fast of course after all, ive not been driving that long. :lol: )

sorry I couldn't manage a whole one :16: :16: :) I have toyed with the idea of Improving my design using a demi-john (you know the bottles used for fermenting wine) - much larger volume enables a more sustainable vacuum to be developed and you could mark the side in litres. not tried but it may be easier to remove arm, fit spring and replace arm, in order to get access to replace spring the arm needs to be bent away from the body putting the spring under greater tension trying to imagine the conversation here ... "I pulled it and it just came off in my hand dear.... :) :) " springs to mind, lightheartedly relieving the tension before shuffling off this mortal coil. :lol: :lol: :16: :16: :16: that is practically whaT happened!!

Ok....hubby home..he has owned up to breaking it as he had the car first thing this morning as he was late for work!!!he said that it it sprang off when he was cleaning it. Looks like i need to eat humble pie here!!Oh..he said that the spring is in the car.....now just to fit on!!

Yes it does, but I still think its a bit steep. I know that brake pads/discs cost about 40+ from halfords,an exhaust..i have no idea but brand new they aint cheap..gator..no idea what it is so cant comment on that, If you take off the amount for the service,then it may not be as steep as you think, if you consider that a service is anywhere from 150-200+.

Does the price include the service and labour/vat???

went back..no sign of spring....not happy.anyone got a spare??????think i could bodge one??hmm.... umm just tried to get spring off to show a pic of the right size and shape - shes pretty stiff, couldn't shift with the arm pulled back - haven't got any decent sized snipe/needle nosed pliers- would be easier with arm removed since spring wont be stretched so tight. Wonder how your little darlings removed it or whether it broke if they pulled the arm outwards. The end of the spring has some sort of offset before the loop - I've got nothing in my spring box like it :13: B) scrappy may be your best bet if you have one near My little lovies said that when they moved they arm they heard a snapping sound.lucky they didnt hear it again really when i saw what they had done.

Ok, went to the shop this morn,left two eldest in the car(5 mins in shop and yes i left the windows open!), come back and they were both stood by the rear of the car playing with the rear wiper..results...whole thing is knackered, there is no pressure holding the blade to the screen,if you shut the tailgate the thing jumps...its like waving a sheet of paper in the air!!, How can i fix if it can be fixed...there is just nothing there..no pressure like there is on the front..it waves to you now!!it wont stay upright or lay completely flat if car is moving. to say im angry is the understatement of the year! :13:
