When the news broke that 14 service personnel had died...first thoughts were untill we knew different,that the plane came from this camp which meant that i would have known some of the widows...as such i never post anything about deaths of service personnel as i have been close to it when a herc did go down last year and 3 of the personnel killed were from this camp.One of the widows is my friend. My thoughts and everyones in the forces are with the familes of the service personnel who died.there will be a day of mourning on the camps and bases,it is hard for the base where the personnel came from to cope with the grief, the accusations,and the anger from the families left behind. Do not think that because i have mentioned nothing of it that i dont care, Sometimes the first we know of anything going on is from the news,like when my other half was in Afghan nearly 2 years ago..the news told me more tan the people on camp..for 8 weeks i didnt know where he was untill i caught a glimpse of him on the telly. There is an online book of condolences that you can sign (there was last year). I think people react more to a celebrity death a lot more than they do a service death as mostly we are never in the spotloight and to be honest a lot of people dont care when a setrvice personnel is killed/dies as they think what does it matter???i never knew them??? But a celebrity is in their face all the time. A lot of what we do is not up for public discussion, where the troops are deployed you can see but not all the time..you cant see the conditions they have to live in whilst deployed..all looks glamourous on the telly. but believe me, the average service personnel loses at least 2 stone in weight whilst deployed. I know the service...i was born into it and married into it..i have never known any different...you do not have to vocalise or write things down to sympathise..what you can do is donate to the benevolent fund which helps thise left behind amongst others.They do a lot more than what you know.And the need for funds is always constant..especially in this day.

ask the salesman.search the web sanj..thats what most of us do...go to diff sites and compare. the only way you will know for yourself on any subject is to search the web..that is what most of us do on here..its the only way to learn..i do it..i sit for hours sometimes looking for the info i need. Sanj..you have to search for yourself rather than expecting immediate answers from us as to what is best .You may think im being hard..but it is the only way you will learn. If i have a prob with the car i will search first...that is what the many thousands of posts are on here for..to search through.If i cant find the answer i need..then i will ask.

Must admit that we had to claim on our own insurance when some kind person decided to rearrange the front of our car when it was parked outside and they decided to leg it.nearly 1200 worth of damage was done.Then hubby rearranged it 2 weeks after we got the car back and as the insurance had shot from just over 300 to nearly 1200 a year because of the previous claim, we decided not to claim again...couldnt afford it really....so slowly i decided to fix it...and i mean slowly!!..:huh:

To be honest i dont know..you can ring up your insurance and find out...I am not to clear how it would work as he is a named driver .You can only ask your insurers,they will know better than i.But i think that you wont have a leg to stand on as he is a named driver.But i may be wrong.Ring your insurers and ask.

But is he on the insurance to drive it???Thats the crux i think.Is he insured to drive at all???and if he has a company car still..then i would claim on his insurance.

HMMM....true i am judging on one side of the story.....and yes this is in the wrong section and i shall move it to the appropiate one. Galaxy Heather, Can you please clarify how you took ownership from him???did he hjust hand you the car or are you on all the ownership documentation?
