update. :( The reg is assembled.One problem.the cable that moves the clamps up and down which the window sits in, keeps going loose.So i cant fit it to the car, because he couldnt get it to work properly and we both tried when i turned up to pick it up, he hasnt charged me for the work he did. He knows the guy who runs breakers yards in Ireland and Grantham so will speak to him first thing in the morn as he has 2 galaxys he is breaking in Grantham.If he has the right one, i will have one tomorrow..if not..well.....its back to window and wood!. :)

Yes to both for me. Anyway..got an update of sorts Had a lady on the phone this aft from the NSPCC.Got a few pointers. 1.Name of our event..like..say miles for smiles?..(just a suggestion.) 2.Why are we doing this?..this is to let peeps like companies and media know why.What purpose are we doing it for?..is it that for every mile we drive we are raising funds for an abused child?..or that for every 500 pounds we raise it will councell a child for 5 weeks?etcc.. 3.What would we carry.Hand overs could be at NSPCC projects for more publicity etc.. 4.WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO DO THIS!!!!! 5.They will support us in this.And are willing to help set up meetings to plan and discuss progress. 6.Sponsorship..i.e.personal sponsorship.There is a website called Just giving where we could each raise sponsorship. 7.We need to decide most def on a route. 8.Media. 9.Could ask corporates to sponsor legs of the journey?.what would they get out of it. 10.WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DO THIS!!!!!!!!!! Please help us do this.we have several members wanting to do this.But we need more.The lady i spoke to is behind us all the way and can give us as much help as we need..but they cannot do it all for us.So please, if you want to help raise money for children that need help then please put your name down. oops..sorry..was a bit busy at the time what with one thing and another.

I really dont know if it is different on a V6..but it is right at the bottom of the sump on mine.. Looks likr this on mine.. Now this is it in situ..not a very good pic..but it is the underneath of the level sensor as the tall bit goes into the sump.Was flat on my back under the car when i took this pic. But remember mine is a diesel.

No worries.I changed both my pressure sendor and level sensor..believe me..battery is not a last resort unless you want to spend 60 quid on a level sensor.Good luck!

try disconnecting the battery for a bit then reconnecting.My oil level sensor on my diesel was on the bottom on the sump.I have changed mine.I know yours is a V6..but try the battery method first.

for all those that wonder if their alarm works..tip for you.. open the windows..lock the door....go back a while later and reach in through the car....gave me a hell of a fright when it happened to me just now!! my alarm works! :( another tip.. door cards...they do just slide up and off..you can still see all the yellow door clips in my shell of a door.Push it up from the bottom gently..well..i whacked mine..but i wont tell you to that as i dont want to be liable if you break it!.lol

both regs dropped off at the garage...touch wood they can reassemble and fit that piece on!!.will find out later this aft.

sorry but for safety sake i would not put a tyre on my gal that wasnt reinforced or extra load.These cars weigh in over 2 tons each .My handbook does state reinforced or extra load tyres to be used or it may invalidate your insurance in the event of an accident. I may be female..but i know tyres.
