Wow..thanks for that Tiny...good info there..Problems with my gal are cosmetic..apart from the oil leak!..which i believe is the rocker cover Anyone wanna buy my Gal??LMAO.

But when the gal goes back..the balance oweing is 6.5k.4k is what the finance company would settle on to pay her off.But what garage would buy a car that isnt HPI clear?fraid she will go back....the insurance for the vectra is almost half of what i was paying on the Galaxy.

awwww..i couldnt do that to her.shes done me well..all her probs are just cosmetic..she is a damn fine car and runs very well..cant fault her running.shes quick off the mark for a diesel..I have looked after her.only thing wrong engine wise..is this oil leak.....just wait till i fill the vectra with diesel!..d'oh!

i assume you mean the main fuse feed box which is at the front under the bonnet with a thick black cable going into it.If it has melted 2 and your alt hasnt gone yet then you are lucky.Second time mine went it took out the alt. Did you have that main cable replaced the second time it went?..if not..try replaceing the cable as that is what i did and it didnt go again.the fuse boxes themselves are around 15/20 quid...but i recommend replaceing the cable..and id do it before your fuse box melts again. you have to make sure when replaceing that fuse box that there is no dirt on the connectors..nary even a speck as that can cause overheating then poof..off it goes again. WElcome to our abode by the way.

as long as it looks the same it might be.......but telling peeps not to look in the galaxy section on ebay..and saying that there is only one part number..is very incorrect..a newbie might have read it at face value..bought the wrong thing then oops! i spent weeks researching MAFS before i took the plunge and bought one..was the first job i did on the Gal and i wanted to make sure i got the right part.poor seller that i eventually bought off was very patient with me!...mine cost me..i think was 66 quid inc delivery...that was over a year ago now!

second hand MAF?? You can buy new ones on there..i did i bought a Bosch one from on there.Didnt cost the earth either...and they are in the galaxy section and there are different types of MAFs for different years/diesel/petrol/......so quoteing one part number..it may be incorrect for the MAF that you need! So i disagree with you there BNB.they dont all have the same part number..a pierberg wont have the same number as a Bosch one will it?

Try changing the skin..i dont get them on the mumofspecial which i use! :(

Fraid i dont spend as much time in there as i used to..dont see the point as i cant beat you at many of the games so no point in trying.For me to beat you i would have to spend a lot of time in there..and i just dont have that luxury anymore.
