  1. Ford America only...but may be of some use. https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owne...als/default.asp I wonder if there is a corresponding Ford Uk site ?
  2. I was going to say B.....then I read my comment about going fishing... :(
  3. Good point ! I think its just because the incidents have been more severe....as you would expect with a larger vehicle....obviously the car and small van drivers cause a lot more incidents. The vast majority of lorry drivers are fine...its just the few dodgy ones that give the others a bad name. I suppose a lorry driver is a bit like being a goalkeeper, its usually not your fault, but when it is everyone notices.
  4. I thought it was the legal system I was ridiculing ? What made you think I had anything against lorry drivers.
  5. Try here for some more info. http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=729
  6. It should be written on the timing belt cover.
  7. You don't fall asleep with a heart attack or stroke. The law in this instance is related to falling asleep whilst driving....see earlier quote from the DVLA.
  8. Hopefully it will serve as a warning of the dangers of driving when tired. Another interesting article. http://blog.cpap.co.uk/2007/06/osa-deadly-driving
  9. Theres a Sharan bumper diagram here....don't know if its them same. Bumper
  10. I will repost the original link first http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgo...est/7041425.stm Read that and then go figure this one out.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/oxfordshire/7132877.stm Apparently this driver suffered from the same disease as the first driver. I won't say that they were both lying through their teeth and faking the ilness as this could be seen as libel. However in the second case the judge acted according to the law and did not mislead the jury....unlike the judge in scotland. Can anyone spot the difference between these two cases ? I bet the families of the people killed in scotland are well chuffed with their judge.
  11. Hi Tam, Nice flag ! Some info on this post http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=13288 Regards Kev
  12. Please remember that they are illegal for a reason. Its not the dipped beam that is the problem it is main beam. You will be blinding drivers several counties away ! However as this will most likely be ignored by the boy racers out there. Who have no consideration for other road users. Some additional comments are below. They are expensive and wont last as long. Also they are likely to crack your headlight reflectors and glass as they are not designed to handle the extra heat. The possibility of wirings faults developing and the subsequent possibility of vehicle fire is another consideration. Something else worth considering if you want to pimp your vehicle. There is no law as to the number of headlights..... a dozen 55W lamps on the front is perfectly legal whereas a pair of 80W's is not....
  13. Are the number plate lamps on the same fuse ? I'm thinking tailgate wiring !
  14. Can it not be done via the display ?
  15. Sorry couldn't resist... I am sure some MK2 owner is out there with an owners manual that can guide you through it.
  16. Lesen Sie die Manual
  17. Bring back hanging that would make me happy............ok not in this particular case.
  18. It must be a bugger cutting out that big hole in the middle !
  19. Allegedly a letter has been sent to VW. The writer decided to keep it seasonal.....you know the tune. God rest ye Gerry Mental men, my Sharan's in Dismay, Remotes no longer working, it packed in yesterday. A drop links wrecked, my air-cons fecked, My wirings gone wahey. No tidings of comfort or joy, comfort or joy, No tidings of comfort and joy. Now even more allegedly VW found out that the vehicle was over 3 years old. They wrote back. "For you Tommy the warranty is over ! "
  20. I think the red dots are more to do with balance, they should be near the valve normally. Inside or outside doesn't matter assuming the tyres are not directional. Directional tyres usually have an arrow on both sidewalls indicating direction of rotation.
  21. Are you sure it was road debris, pet ? It didn't look like this ! Vectra ECU
  22. I think it needs to be graphical and therefore understandable in all languages. Some suggections below. I suspect this is not a female lorry driver although the idea is good !
