Thanks for the reply I'll have a closer look at the weekend. Does anyone know how easy the CV joint is to replace and the basic procedure???? Regards, Dave

Just got the galaxy back from the bodyshop, after 3 weeks of driving a Corsa ABS light came on on the way home Hooked up to Vag com and fault is shown as Left Hand Side Wheel Speed Sensor 35-10 Intermittent From Previous post i have gathered this is the ring around the CV joint which means CV joint has to be replaced. Car has done 105k so i think it may be a coincidence and nothing the bodyshop has done although it will be interesting to find out which side of the car (see question below) is at fault if its the side they have worked on i may contact them. Anyway my question is VAG COM says its the left hand side but which side of the car does this refer to (Driver or Passenger Side). Also if anyone knows where to get the parts to rectify this at a reasonable cost please let me know. Thanks in advance Dave

Poor Accel And Loud Air Noise At Same Time

check the intake piping beyond the airbox, i left the clip off mine when i was fiddling with the MAF and it popped off causing exact symptoms you are experiencing. Could have come off or may have split. -

Definately sounds like parking light warning, when you leave the car if indicator stalk is on, Right or left it turns on the corresponding sidelight/tail light  -

vacuum leak on mine aswell, quite hard to find though Good Luck :D -
as far as i am aware if someone hits the back of your car then they are liable regardless, they should be of a safe enough distance behind you to be able to react and stop in time, if they are not then tough!!! of course the other driver will always try and blame you in some way, but its their fault end-of!!

when mine passed first time i almost fell over with shock  :D :D

Nearer to Kensworth/Dunstable  ;)

Soundss like yours has snapped in exactly the same place as mine, I don't think the roll restrictor bolt has sheared on mine though so don't know what causes it to break at this point

Country Lane, Guy in Land Rover discovery stopped in passing place, just enough room to get by, just as i pull up my wing by the front of his car he swings out  Then says its my fault, damage is on the front corner of his car on bumper and his indicator lens broken bumper pushed in a bit on front corner. No damage on my front bumper other than a scuff that the side of his motor done as it scraped along. He said if i gave him twenty quid for indicator at first but then changed his mind Don't know who insurance will put blame on??? ;)

i have 3 pc's on my network 2 are wired with ethernet cabling the laptop is on wireless, if i am not using the wireless AP then its turned off. The wireless AP i use is quite good as it has an event log which lets me know if anyone has been trying to access it and it shows me their MAC address which can then be blocked from further access attempts!

Just a bit of advice to anyone using a wireless router. if i wanted to i could have free internet access as several of my neighbours have unsecured wireless networks, many of them have not even changed the admin passwords on the router  which means anyone can access the settings of the router using the default IP address and password which on most routers are the same - and possibly worse access personal data on their computers so a note to anyone using wireless, make sure you secure it!!!

the type of interface you need is either a KEY_COM for serial Port use or KEY_USB for use on your computers USB port. I have the KEY-COM version (Genuine Ross-tech one). You can get cheaper cables on ebay but these won't work with the latest software and may not be of the same quality As far as i know the Mark-1 Gal will work with VAG-COM but from reading several postings on this forum certain modules such as the Aux heater don't seem to communicate with it. Very useful bit of kit and the latest genuine cables and software versions will read and clear DTC's from any OBD2 compliant car (most vehicles post 1996), using its generic OBD2 facility. I have personally used mine on a vauxhall zafira and it worked perfectly. it will save you

sorry, just noticed yours is a petrol, even GSF are quoting about

Its not uncommon for DTC's to get logged due to low battery power, damp in the wiring etc, Clear them and see how many come back,

My doggy Rosie as a puppy practising for the andrex advert  It was great when she was so small, she is a lot bigger now and she goes in the cage as i feel its safer and more comfortable for her

you would only grease the locking nut, all the others would hold the wheel on OK even if the locker came out!
-
I have a large dog cage in mine that takes up the entire space where the two rear seats sit, it did rattle a bit but as someone else suggested put Cable ties round it and it will be fine
-
don't think it will be a vacuum loss problem as the fault code shows positive deviation-vacuum loss would be negative deviation
