What's your driving style? My 2.3 trip computer says I get up to 34 MPG (down to 24 depending on driving style) Change up gears early and coast when downhill. Check out the AA or RAC advanced driver forums for tips and save money. How much stuff do you have in the rear? :lol: Don't accelerate too quick out of a bend, there will always be a car in front just out of you view. Look ahead and use the brakes as a minimum. We are lucky enough to live to some woods with a pond and deer/squirrels. I am going to try and get some nature photos, ants, beetles worms for the kids. Will do some bark/church crayon rubbings as well.

Yep, got plenty of newspaper ready. Two piles, one for the recycling tip and one to protect the carpet and use for mache. Hobbycraft do the cheapest packs of kids paintbrushes I think.

Ok then peeps, summer is here! (Not that you would think so, had to take three detours on the way home this afternoon due to flooded/closed roads. Got within three miles at one point, then had to drive around for another hour). This thread was started so as to give ideas to everyone about how to keep the young ones quiet. We plan to do lots of art/painting/model type stuff. My eldest says she is not going to let the water bother her ears anymore when we go swimming. Going to let them do some more cooking as well. Anyone wish to share their guaranteed methods?
