  1. And long may you continue to support them. The more money we keep in our local areas the better. Big companies care nothing about your local area other than how much profit they can make from it.
  2. One of my first cars was a Triumph Vittesse. I used to open the bonnet and sit on the wheels when I was working on the engine....
  3. If it is still coming out after you re-clamp it properly then the rubber strip in the clamp needs renewed.
  4. There are 3 different heaters with different maximum outputs, 3KW, 4KW and 5KW. The 3KW is what is fitted to earlier models, the 4KW is a petrol version and the 5KW is the most up to date version. All also have the capability to run at a little under half power.
  5. Well mine is a 3Kw heater. Later versions are 5Kw, so that is nearly twice the fuel supply. Now that much could, I suppose, cool the glow plug.
  6. you need to loosen the clamps through the holes and then tighten them up again. http://www.bigtrucker.co.uk/gifs/windowclamp.gif
  7. But not for a non PD engine....
  8. Well mine runs fine with the original Beru glow plug. No smoke either.
  9. Faulty drivers door open sensor?
  10. That will be the pully then! You put a pry-bar between the top of the pully and the pully arm and pull!
  11. Is the engine running? You can't open it with the engine running unless the drivers door has been opened in the last 30 seconds or so.
  12. I thought about doing that but was worried about trapped moisture corroding the pipes. Was thinking alonge the lines of 22mm Armaflex and Armatape along the joints and on the ends.
  13. Could it be the boot slaming is effecting a loose wire?
  14. No, it will work first time with the right key.
  15. There is a drain both sides and the water should come out both sides. The drain is right in the corner of the scuttle.
  16. Did you have the tracking checked? It was most likely a bad tyre, but toe-out will give the same symptoms and will be cured by new tyres until they wear in.
  17. You have to detension the belt, but that is easy. You just put a bar in and pull it. The back of the pulley has a plastic cover on, you pop that off and then it is a nut and bolt job. A replacement is
  18. Yep your quite correct. Mine was not working last MOT, I guess the tester missed it. The wires on mine were burnt right though in the boot lid. Had to rewire it. Also found that I only had one rear fog light, the other had a blanking plate, even though it had a lamp holder. Soon popped that out and fitted a bulb though.
  19. Just because the petrol is in the tank, you don't have to use it!
  20. the rear right hand indicator bulb - the paint had come off - new bulb
  21. High level is not MOT testable, but fogs are. You may find you only have one fog light, the offside. Check the bulb.

  23. Mine looks like this and the ETOS only shows two, one for automatics (PN F 7M-W-020 001) and one for manual gearbox (PN F 7M-W-505 001)
  24. I am starting to think that I am wrong as there appears to be some subtle differences with the bottom ends. I am too tired to check right now, I will do tomorrow.
