All done,changed pipe not that bad in the end,got as much red/brown oil out as poss refilled with green.

Car started fine this morning must be just sub zero temp thing...

Here we go again..last couple of weeks very cold in morning as every one knows -5/6 c gone to start car turns seems to start just seems to catch then dies turn off then starts run fine but this morning no go took plugs out wet with petrol dried them got em warm put in nearly started then flooded again.Now it has new coil in, good battery this year,new plugs a few weeks ago, when car has started has been as normal.Any help would be nice really needed it this weekend its so anoying when these things come around..Is it a spark issue some where..thanks for now.

Hi yes its a petrol mk2 no probs since like i said only happened 2 times in 6 odd months i know these little probs are hard to sort out just a bit of a danger at a junction ..

Yes my hose is leaking at compression joint to metal pipe i have a replacement to put on but as i said my car mk2 has full red in it got green to day from ford...cant see how i can get all the oil out though..any idears?? too cold at mo, any way ..steering and rack are sweet to use ...

Ive got red fluid in mine not just a top up but full red..now just bought ford spec its green?? do they mix ok and why the difference open to any idears..thanks.ford book.. no52171vx00 ive given from ford wss-m2c204-a2..

Hi guys car stalled just changed down to come off rounabout fully warm no problem like it befor but think my partner had a similar cut out 6 months ago...started fine and idled no problem since..is it that the throttle body needs cleaning?? or a potentioner problem..any advise would be nice it could have been dangerous...

mine sll does it not always but gives the car charater !! along with all the other ones of the same car!

ye but its a bastard of a job to get off put it on ramps yesturday, its going to be hard to undo nut, oil everywhere,without car also,Dont want to take it to garage but im going to have to..

all done!! cable end was burnt/overheated, cut back 3 " new crimp butt crimp heat shrink nice and cool sorted 16 amps going through so no other probs..apart from an oil leak on power steering hose doh! getting there in the end..

batt was replaced this year..will still check though..

ok brother in law an electician..so no probs in sorting it out then..so 3 or 4" should be enough then??

Just changed fuse box in engine bay as 2 largest cables were loose and had slightly melted fuse lid..now the 2nd one down is very hot, 110amp one belive goes to main box in car?.have other galaxy owners had a problem same as, any way to rectify it or just left it alone?? had car 7 months now always been hot should i be concerned or not is it common?Lid has a samll melt mark where the metal crimp is.Any advise would be nice thanks.

I have same dilema mines fine 132000 still i belive on original clutch but going on holiday next year to italy long drive and mountains..on slip or anything from it but lothed to spend on it if it is good ..but dont want it go on hoilday!!

ye mines the same took off ,cleaned ,lightly greased it still does it !! not always though just put up with it now.. :D

to me tyre is a tyre had many cars campers and so on.. but i do live on isle of wight, do about 5000 miles a year,ive just put kuhmo on mine sound good on road

i sold a xantia with 130000 on clock sweet as a nut ,just bought a 2001 2.3 ghia ...same milage sweet as a nut car is great had a couple of things to sort out leaking windscreen !!!! but apart from that shes great think its still on original clutch !!i am going to change the clutch next year as haveing a holiday in italy so dont want it to bugger up on the mountains, cars if maintained should do 200.000 miles no probs... :wacko:
