Vcds-Lite And Auto Controller Codes
traff replied to dodalexander's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
as sparky paul says....vcds will work with the auto box .....suggest you have a wiring issue.....try removing the battery tray and giving the wires a wiggle...then unclip all joints and check for corrosion..... -
halfords was the only local auto shop that was open at that time of day.......pain in the backside..as i know all the good motor factors in the area...but they are 9 to 5...thanks for the input chaps..im off to get the BIG ONE regards .traff

i take it the car has not been damaged by vandals ? how i would do this sounds very harsh..but its how its done.....wind the window all the way down grab the very top of the door frame put your knee against the top of the door card area and give a good tug several attempts of this may be necessary make sure window is down or it will shatter regards traff

hi guys ,just thought id tell you about a problem ive encountered,....wilst working on my mates galaxy... auy engine i snapped the oil feed pipe to the turbo.....i did try all the tricks mentioned in the forum ,ground down spanner etc....the olive was jammed in the adapter....i did my own car 4 years ago so as routene asked ford for a replacement........shock horror......how much .....just for a pipe....????.. in the end i took the broken pipe to my local hydrallics repair shop...m f hydrallics.oxford ....and came away with a new pipe for £20...thats £40 cheaper than fords.....it pays to shop around...pertec is another company worth a look in....they do the same sort of thing.........oh by the way ...this new pipe is as good or better than original spec

i know that most of us who have tried to remove the top nut from the front turret have failed, well its my turn today.......no amount of wd40 or heat has any effect.....the only way i can think is to cut off the top cups, and dealing with the nut on the floor.....many of you have done so....my question is...where do i get new top cups from ....are they a dealer only part , or local motor factor ? many thanks traff

some years ago ...i customised a badge on my old granada......remove old badge using a loop of mig welding wire...then sand the back of badge with fine paper...next spray paint with the colour of your choice....i know it sounds daft..but mine came out a treat...what have you got to lose
-
yes i got one off e-bay.....my advice is ....dont waste your money on this .....+35 is a brand name only....fitted mine for 1 hour and took it off again....it works by messing with the fuel temp sensor...it will give you 1-2 hp in reality...if you still want one you can have mine
