Hi all Went to frauds this morning to buy new fuse box and alternator cable got quoted

Hi all I have had the melting fuse box as well. As all the dealers are closed till monday am best off not driving the gal for the rest of the weekend till I can get a new box and lead. Also can you only check the actual fuses when all the wires are disconnected? Sorry if thats a stupid question.. Swifty

Its more likely that you need to replace glowplug in the heater and then clear the fault on vag-com. swifty

went out to car this morning switched on the ignition and switched off pump was working. Used the car twice today and on turning off the engine with the bonnet up no pump noise. Was planning on 200 mile round trip next weekend should I forget this until the pump is sorted. went out to car not five mins ago switched ignition on pump came on switched off ignition pump stopped. Swifty.

The only other fault that came up was for the brake s pedal switch, thats my next job, wd40 doesnt seem to work on it anymore.. Swifty

Hi all I have been out this morning and managed to get the software to work in forced dumb mode. Cleared the flame out fault and cant believe how quickly the car warmed up. Many thanks to all of you that gave me advise and sticking with me. Im not the greatest person with pc's at the best of times. Great forum great people.... Swifty..

I now have lead and have have downloaded ver 409.1 and as im running win vista it told it might work with ver 311.2. Plugged into car and it began giving me fault codes, windows then shut the programme down and now i cant do anything with either version. If poss could someone pm me their no so can speak with about the probs I think it may be easier.... Swifty

Ive seen the downloads but they dont seem to support win vista..

Is there anyone that could do this for me in exchange for some beer tokens or hot chocolate tokens..Im in harrow middlesex area Im quite happy to travel out to where you may be..
