  1. if it has been serviced by a main dealer you can ask for a copy of the service history
  2. just take out both glove boxes, you can get to most of the heater unit controls through these holes
  3. they do fail, eventually, the igniter electrodes wear down, the crap from this coats the inside of the lamp and causes hot spots and eventually the glass cracks, the wear happens every time you switch them on
  4. 80 miles that was a big hill

  7. its the bit thats near the hinges on the a and b posts, the big black rubber bellows
  8. if its the first bit of pipe that goes to the pcv then its and easy job, just get a new bit of pipe from halfords,if its the valve that is broke get a new one from ford part number is 7 364 573 or from eurocarparts my mate says they sell it
  9. thats the one i first thought you meant, yes that one will have oil ond smoke in it
  10. the small pipe from the head that goes to the big pipe to the throttle body will have oil in it, if the big pipe has split this will leak out,the big pipe is available from the dealers, but be carefull as some of the new pipes dont have a dent in it for the brake resivoir,a bit of gentle heat with a hot airgun and some pressure and you can make one
  11. what part is damaged, the valve in the small pipe from the head, that valve is a comon part that fall aprt, get it from fords as its cheaper from them than vw

  13. are you rich, because you will need a shed load of money, its not called a black bag hobby for nothing
  14. Because the company who fit the tyres to the rims are on commission. So, to take the wheel off the balance kit to fit a weight wastes time and therefore money. I had to remind my local tyre fitters to stick the weights on the inside of the wheels ...... answer ...... tut why do they take the wheel off the balancer to stick or clip on the weight? every time i have seen it it done the fitter spins the wheel on the machine to get the reading to see the place where the weight should be added,in most cases its a cost and time thing to use clip on weights, as they have to clean the wheel to get the weight to stick on properly, and if if it doesnt you end up having to go back and have them balanced again so the fitter prefers clip ons as they dont fall off so often
  15. you were right when you called it a spoiler,i just lost one section of mine in a carpark in cornwall,my local vw dealers has it on the parts list as spoiler, it comes in two bits left and right sides,i cant remember how much it is, but in my case i dont care as the other bit has since fell off
  16. try confused.com fill in your info once and let them do the work,i saved a furtune last year when I went with endsliegh
  17. this is an urban hoax the message was never actually put on the machine it was only available in written form, it was written as a piss take about the way the school started to punish pupils who didnt turn up after so many missed days they were given an automatic failure grade, a lot of pupils who would have normally passed the classes were failed due to this new system and their parents started to kick off about it, it got rather heated and school boards and governers aurgued over the new system but as the school was an independant one they won the arguement and youve left off the very last part which proves it was in written form If you can read this thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English thank a veteran
