Personally, i wouldn't go for it unless they give me documented proof that the engine has full service history and a full guarantee covering the whole engine, be it for only 3 months.

Since the car is still under warranty, i would fire off a letter to the service department stating that you wish that the car to be repaired and give them a time scale, say a week. Log everything including how many times the car has been in, what was done, how long before problem returned and keep all paperwork. You must insist that the problem be sorted once and for all. I would not call using a cable tie to secure anything electrical as satisfactory or safe.

Reminds me of the times when i used to work at BMW and when the X5 came out, people were prepared to wait 12-18 months for the car that cost anything from 35K upwards with a 5% deposit to secure a build slot! And it wasn't 2 or 3 punters but dozens (More cash than brains!)

Yes you do, but in this case the 'illness/condition' was diagnosed after the accident took place. I presume the defence team must have banked on this to get their client off. How and why?????

As a person from the 'ethnic minority', i have mixed views on the all issue of war and these videos that have been posted. I agree that no video should be posted, be they from 'allied' forces or so called 'extemists, freedom-fighters, jihadists or insurgents' or whatever the western media want to label them next. I agree wholeheartdly with mk2vr6 that when was the last time someone 'flagged-up' a video showing the west doing the same, maybe they have, maybe they haven't but i certainly haven't seen any evidence so far. And believe me, there are videos out there that will make your stomach churn and be totally disgusted. Anyway, just my opnion and please i do not want to involved in a heated debate on who is right and who is wrong.

Hi Kev, yeah, i were glasses.........................and????? I, too have noticed a slight distortion but it is most visible at night driving - imho, it has to be the heating elements deflecting the light in some ways.

When i bought my Galaxy last year and when i was online looking for insurance quotes, when entering only the vehicle registartion number 99% of the time it came up with all the vehicles details, eg Make, Model, Trim, Year of Registration and the bhp of the engine. Worth a try if you dont have the registration documents to hand.

Yeah, i've seen this ad on ebay and i had asked the seller if he had one for my friends 2001 Mark 2 1.9tdi Ghia, he replied back very promptly saying that he didn't, however, can get one within 10 days - took my details, will have to wait and see if he keeps his word.

Hi Jimmy, In my opinion it could be a anything, ranging from: 1. Underinflated tyre. 2. Bad wheel alignment. (Tyre wear ok and even?) 3. Sticking brake caliper. 4. Suspension and associated parts. The list probably goes on............. Re-aligining the steering wheel manually (ie By undoing it then doing it up straight) will not resolve the issue - the car will still pull to the left. I would definitely get the supplying garage to fix the problem and don't take no for an answer.

If you still cannot view the pictures then you could try googling the word 'Ford Galaxy' - make sure you pick the 'images' tab first.

I seem to recall that my older brother had a similar problem you are encountering in his 2001 mark 2 Ghia 1.9tdi - it turned out that the guy (cowboy!) who fitted the pads, forced the pistons back to hard and quickly causing the seals in the master cylinder to invert. The result was the same as yours and he had to get frauds to fit a new cylinder. So can i ask - How did you push the pistons back in the caliper?

If that's a real dog, then there are some sick, wierd people about.
