About 8 months ago someone broke into our car using something to force the lock open. I replaced the lock but then recently the same thing happened again...

I've just replaced the lock again so the car is lockable but I'm worried it will happen again.

I had thought of replacing the lock with one with no barrel but the robbers might just force the boot open.

They just rummaged through the car and stole the spare tyre last time...

This time the looked and found nothing but they must have tried to pull the fascia of the centre column, so the heated window buttons stick a bit.

Are there any aftermarket alarm fitters in West London (Ealing) that people have used? I don't might replacing the alarm on the car as the stock one is not that good.

I've seen the post mentioning OEM handles with no barrel on eBay for £15 the Galaxy I have has colour coded handles to match the body, but I don't mind swapping to a stock colour.

There's a couple of options here, assuming the remote works,

1, disconnect the wiring to the barrels, I did this on my mk1 after suffering similar problems, they got round it by using part of my rockeryhttp://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/public/style_emoticons/default/angry.gif

2, swap the front/rear door handles, does the same as above.

And I'd disconnect the wiring for the boot handle, just make sure the boot will open 'manually' with an extra 1/4 turn of the key.
