Central Locking Not Working And Mileage Display Is Off

hi this is my first post on here, ive never been able to use my key fob to lock the car but always managed to use my key to lock my door and that managed to lock the other doors including the boot. Also the mileage used to be on constantly but now only comes on when i start the car?? I cant use my key only to lock my door other door have to be done manually??? Any one have any suggestions???

you can re program the key fob

 

put the key in the lock

turn it 3 times to the unlock position

the led in door should flash

now press the lock button on fob and hold and prress unlock 3 times and it should be programmed

Hi ive tried that but my led still isnt lighting up, ive checked fuses....thinking maybe a wire??? x

Check your fuses again .

 

Have a look at Fuse 19 , its a small brown 5A fuse that controls the central locking .

 

I recently had the same issues as you , loss of central locking , trip meter resetting itself , no flashing led in the door and it was that particular fuse that had blown . Replaced it and it all works now .

that fuse 19 also supports multimedia, dash clock and lights left on buzzer!!

This happened to mine. Was a simple blown fuse and once it was replaced it was back to normal. Hope its the same for you is a quick fix. Edited April 15, 2011 by Daniel Overton

im in the same boat as you Vicky.. fuse is fine but still nothing central locking is completely dead!!!

I have the same issue with my V-Reg Galaxy. Fuses are fine, but tripometer resets itself every time I put the key in the ignition, no central locking. Also, no central locking ECU beneath passenger seat (I had the old "water in the footwell" issue, so I thought I'd check there first.

 

Are there any suggestions on where to go from here?

Has you checked the door gaitor wires and boot lid gator wires?? Could be worth a look??

Everything but the mileage and blowers could be the wiring in the door and/or tailgate gaiters.

Strangest thing happened today blowers started working and central locking has started working now I have not touched anything on it for days now had this gal a month now messed with wires fuses and stuff and nothing what could it be both still working
