hi ive fitted 2 new sensors and i dont know if its normal but when i reverse upto a wall the beeps then as i get nearer it goes to a continuos tone to say im really close but if i drive away the continuous tone stays on until i press the button , is this the same with everyones :18:

Not with mine, if you move away from the object it stops beeping, then when you drive away the light on the switch goes out automatically

nor mine,but 1 thing i have noticed is,the light will stay on for a little time before going out.

It should go off at 15mph... as long as you stay below this then it should stay on once activated either by reverse or manually.

One of my rear parking sensors had an intermittent fault which meant that sometimes I had the continuous bleep all the time they were engaged. I monitored their activity using VagCom to determine which one it was before replacing it.

ive got some more coming as spares so ill replace and try them out , my mate works in a bodyshop and they throw all the parking sensors in a big pot , ive got loads of newer vw sensors lol :18:

Hi mate, I think they should switch off as soon as you put the car into a forward gear. I have had a different problem with mine; they only work when the weather is wet, and I get a continuous bleep when it's dry. Were the sensors easy to change?
