Piecing together what you have had changed and checked You are probably looking at head gasket failure, I know you said it hadn't overheated, but has it been driven hard on a motorway recently this will usually show it up. At 90deg's C all heater pipes should be hot not just warm Air in the system is generated internally by gasket failure or cracks in the head or block. Quote
Mirez Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 im a member on a few other forums & have noticed whilst looking at posts on here they are mostly unsolved.. is there any member that could be pm'd for accurate advice? Probably because most of us can't be bothered to reply to some lazy newbie who didn't use the search engine and thinks his issue is ultra unique and has never been asked and SOLVED before... Quote
Dave-G Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) You'd be amazed how many people pop in for answers to their problem and just dissapear without thanks or posting the result of members efforts to help them. They just dissapear leaving members wondering why they bothered. I'm surprised you got any reply at all with that post mister - let me guess - your name is Sanjay right? Edit: The forum is all about sharing information - so it's all done out in the open for all to see and benefit from. If you want personal advice and information try a Ford Dealership. tona955 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Hi All, I am very new to this forum and would just like to say, compared to other forums that I use this one has been the best source of information. The response has been quick and accurate, searching through previous posts I have been able to rectify a number of small faults on my Sharan. Members here are more than willing to share their experience and knowledge all you have to do is be polite and have a little patience as all posts are dealt with equally. Regards Quote
zorgman Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 i agree with above its a never ending stream of help but no thanks, my pet hate at mo is aux heaters and blame the maf. im a auto electrician, fully approved electrician and computer technician but retired now due getting cancer which has took out my bones and i havn't got strentgh to do out mechanical now but i do enjoy giving help when its needed but please always use the search button its all there just a bit reading needed Quote
gregers Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 the good people here over the years have given there advice free of charge, the only thing that they do like is a bit of feedback of thanks just once in a while, its called respect,i have allways have found when someone does me a good turn i say thanks to them, that way if i have another problem they will help me out again,if you feel the advice is not to your liking then go and spend your hard earned at the stealers, and stop wasting the forums resources on your endless drivel.and if you feel your posts are not being answered what makes you think pming them will get you a response your looking for. maybe just maybe its the way you ask/conduct yourself that the above members have responded in the way they have. kebrina Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 I've had some stonking help from some people on here before, and often check the site out for minor issues I am sure people have had before. I've saved a fortune on sourcing bits and pieces and taken advice on fitting them myself. I've always tried to thank the people who helped me, if I forgot anyone, I thank you now. I would agree with several of the comments above, and have tried to 'vote them up' by pressing on the little green + button, but it doesn't do anything (saying I've reached my quota for this action today (I've never tried it before!!!). Like Dave_G said, go to a dealership. Quote
