Anyone done this on a Mk2? I'm fairly sure mines holed as its whisteling on boost, slightly underpowered and there is an oily residue around what looks suspiciously like impact damage on the front!

Got the replacement ready to fit, seems to only have 4 bolts holding it on? Yet to confirm but I'm guessing its bumper off and a simple removal from below and out?

Hi,

Did you manage to replace the intercooler on your Galaxy? If so was it easy / hard and is it recommendable to do yourself or send it into garage?

I have the small oil coming from the passenger side of the intercooler: between the radiator part and the black plastic end cap. I thought you may be able to get a replacement gasket to go between the two but appears not the case. Where did you get your intercooler from, Ford wanted around

Its not overly easy, the proper way is to remove the front bumper, drain the coolent system and remove the radiator and then unbolt it. If you subscribe to the unofficial way to do the A/C condensor then its not much different to that - drill 4 holes in the retaining plastic and you can access the bolts just fine. Got my replacement from a local breakers in the end from an 07 sharan.

The one I have for sale is for a 90hp version, its not the same as the 115 although it could have been made to fit I guess - should have done a little more homework first!
