i have used maguiars for years now, its very very good stuff. i tip for you (if you haven`t already done it) go over the whole car with the quick clay. you will be amazed what that does. also if your after the deepest of shines out fo your car, theres better stuff then meguiars. you should try some of the clearcote products, and the best wax i think value for money is P21s concours wax. but as said above, remember that polish and wax are totaly different, plus you can also get a glaze which helps wonders as well.

Could be a MAF problem or possible hole/split in the air intake pipes after the MAF sensor housing. Had the same problem on a Volvo 855 which turned out to be a small split in the air intake pipe (found it after replacing the MAF!!).

i have had the car for 3 weeks now, and yer it was doing it when i got it, but as it didn`t affect they way it drove, i thought nothing of it. but its starting to bug me know :rolleyes:

any people on here like chromed up engine bays, im a big fan of them, i have had a few escort with fully chromed up engine bays etc and love it to bit, a really show stopper. anyway, im looking into getting loads of custom stuff made for my galaxy like, exhaust heat sheild battery covers chromed cam cover air filter box cover etc etc. so anyone else like the chrome / polished engine bays??

cool. will have a look at that, cheers. no probs :D the only misbehaving it does, is that the revs drop to 500 rpm between gear changes or when i rev it up. but it doesn`t stall, the ecu picks the revs back up quite quickly.

i got a problem on my galaxy, its a 2L glx mk1. what happens is, if i rev the car either at a stand still or driving above 3k RPM, the needle will fall to about 500rpm and then pick itself back up to 900rpm this ican live with as it dont stall. but whats more worrying, is when driving and i change down gears etc. the need will drop again to 500rmp, but them just die and drop to 0rpm. but heres the strange thing, the engine doesn`t stall, its almost like the electrics are cut from the rev counter. any ideas???

please dont hate me, or boot me off the site :) but just a suggestion, what about having a for sale/wanted section?? i only suggest it as im on the hunt for parts for my Gal and have a job to find things for sale on the site, or if i want to put a wanted post up i have no idea what section to put it in. i fully understand if you hate the idea, and im only new here, but i do help run another club you see, so know layouts of fourms quite well. anyway, what you think???

been looking at coilovers my my mk1 gal. my mate can do me a set of KW coilovers for

the wiring diagram i have been using to sort my galaxy out, is in the back of the haynes book. its a bit basic, but it tells you wire colours, and there they go. helped me out, and ended up finding out my relay by the main central locking box has failed.

anyone know what colour my Gal is. its a mk1 GLX 1995. its in dark blue. i thought it was state blue as its very very simular. but according ti microcat, state blue wasn`t started till 2000. any ideas???

well sorted both, boot solenoid wasn`t working, got a new one and still nothing, found the realy under pass side deat is U/S, so need a new one. and interior lights, found rear drivers door switch not working. so all fixed now :wacko:

im looking into putting a rs2000 lump in mine later on, same as the 2.3 galaxy lump, so should fit i would of thought.

1st one is, Airbag light is on all the time, and idea what this could be? looking at the wiring diagram looks like the control box maybe faulty. 2nd, my interior roof light stays on, when its set to go off when doors are shut. does it have a delay before it goes off?? and would it be the little push button switches gone wrong?? cheers

emailed them, but they put me onto a UK place that sells it, but they no longer sell it :( the only one they do is the Caractere kit, and i dont like that front bumper at all. anyone know what the ford RS kit looks like??
