  1. I have the same problem, whilst changing the video player for a dvd player I have shorted something but after checking all the fuses I can find, nothing. The power supply to the video gives a couple of volts but when you switch the power on via the remote pointing at the headrests it gives 12v, so off that came my dvd, only prob is it no longer gives 12v. In fact it doesn't switch the screens on at all now. HHHELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP please. ;)
  2. Hi We only have 1 key (the remote one) with our 2002 TDI Ghia Galaxy. Can anyone advise me on the best way to tackle this eg. Can I buy a replacement key and program it myself or is it a Ford Job, if so anyone any ideas on price? Thanks ;)
  3. Thanks Mr T ps. I pity the fool
  4. Hi I want a roof box for my 2002 Galaxy TDI but hate the way they look. Surely someone must make a box that fastens to the original roof bars instead of having to put a roofrack on. The plan is that if they make one like that then to :( have it sprayed black to match the car. Then at least when I do put one on it will look better than a big roofrack aswell. Thanks
  5. Problem has happened again. Went to start it and nothing, just clicking sound, got out the leads and it jump started staight away. Only moved the car 500 yards and left it parked for the day. Went to start it that evening and started first click. When it plays up the alarm light in the door is flashing slowly. Tried putting it in and out of park, no effect. The only way it starts is jump starting but the battery and charging system are o.k. Anyone experienced earthing problems, could this be an issue? As battery would still test o.k then and also charging system would test o.k Any other ideas. Ps. Solenoid looks like a nightmare to get to.
  6. Hi I had exactly the same problem, it was down to a disconnected plug. When you put it in reverse mine gave a constant tone and the light on the dash switch flashed, indicating a problem. When I further investigated underneath the front passenger seat (under the carpet) the connector had come loose from the front buzzer making the system fail, re-connected and works like a dream now. Hope that helps. :(
  7. Had the battery tested twice, not that for defo. Started solenoid, had a look last night, that looks fun to get to!! Only prb is that it did it twice in the first couple of days of having the car and its now behaving like a dream and hasn't done it again. Would still like to find what was causing it though just in case it comes back to haunt me. Will try taking it out of park and back in if it does it again. Thanks All DannyB
  8. Hi The battery terminals are clean and greased up and tight. If its left for a whila I can go back to it and it starts first turn as if there was never a problem. Will check the LED staus next time it happens. Thanks for replies.
  9. Thanks all for your replies. After further investigation the control box was all o.k but seems that a wire had become or had been disconnected to the warning beeper which was causing the system to report failure by the flashing switch. The garage had been notified about this problem and had reported it as fixed although they hadn't. Well they work like a treat now. Thanks all for the help Danny Barratt <_< :( ps. Its great when its something simple that costs nothing but good avice
  10. Hi I have an intermittent starting problem. Very occasionally I go to start my 2002 Galaxy TDI Ghia Auto and it just makes a clicking noise and the dash lights all flash. I have then tried remote locking and unlocking the car and have had the battery and charging system tested (all O.K). It seems if I attach jump leads it will then start. It will then behave itself for days. Could this be a connection problem on the starter solenoid or is it more likely to be a sticking relay, which I have seen mentioned on the forum. Is the connection of jump leads co-incidence? If anyone has any ideas please help as this is very frustrating. Thanks Danny Barratt
  11. Thanks for the replies, will check these out in the morning. Always nice to be part of a forum where people do want to help each other out. Thanks Again Danny Barratt
  12. Hi I have a 2002 Galaxy Ghia TDI Auto. The parking sensors don't work at all. When i press the switch and am reversing the dash switch lights up and flashes. Has anyone had any problems with these that can suggest where the problem may be. I have tried putting the car in drive and getting someone to walk in front of the front sensors and nothing, the same with reverse and the rear sensors. Ocassionally when i put it into reverse it omits and beep and then a long tone. Please help me if you can. Many Thanks Danny Barratt
  13. Thanks for the reply, i've not had the unit out yet, if it uses rca to connect your right that should be easy. Thanks again
