Thanks for the input if i am being honest the torque of the 2.3 petrol was my biggest concern having towed with big volvos before this galaxy is well down , basically unsure just how big a caravan it can handle without totally killing it.The diesel version i agree would be more suitable however i'm stuck with this for now.It would be interesting to know what type of van and weight others have managed to tow with this size engine that is if anyone else has given it a go ........... :rolleyes:

What can i say quick response lets hope this forum is as quick to help as my usual volvo one thanks Nikpv for the direction , diagram is great as is the after comment about the pump being full of water as mine was the same all i need now is a price on a replacement pump and i should be away thanks again mike........ :blink:

Can anyone recommend a brand of towbar that does not include cutting the rear bumper ideally i would like one that can accomidate a hollywood vertical 4 bike carrier and caravan . Can anyone advise on where to purchase a bar and possibly how easy/difficult is it to fit yourself that is if any of you have done it etc? thanks mike....... :blink:

Hello again can anyone help with this , i have no cruise at all when i select it on the stalk i get nothing whatsoever i checked at the rear of the passenger indicator and yes i had a split pipe but i noticed someone had been in there before me and changed it before , again this was split.Now my problem is there are two places i can fit the new pipe to but which is the correct one as the pipe was hanging off at one end it appears at the pump end there are two possibilities anyone got a drawing or can anyone post a sketch etc :blink:

Hi all been reading comments on this site for a while now but due to reasons unknown to me i have been unable to post etc ? Anyway i would like to ask if anyone has tried towing a caravan with a galaxy especially a 2.3 petrol ? if so how well can they tow and are there any issues/tips i should be aware of also has anyone tried to gas a galaxy again any probs/issues ? thanks in advance mike.... p.s Having come from the volvo scene and t5 at that i am finding the galaxy a little down on torque to say the least ! :blink:
