Read about the alloys problem in galaxy a few times,try independent car painter and see how much for the job. My Seat alloys ar as new (2002),meaning this is a ford problem in general. Is it not Ford to be held responsible for selling such trash at a considerable price.

Seem to have the same problem oil coming from valve signal in picture what was the problem how did you solve this issue.

i would say outer cv joint is more comon to fail and seems to fit the discription you give. The issue is do you trust the mecanic who is going to fix the car.

Had same problem on an auto tdi had inner cv joint changed problem fixed

Theres hardly snow in Portugal but theres a lot of snow in Germany where i imported car the from.What bothers me is the shudder i can feel when accelerating between 1500 and 2000 revs.Just measured the maf 928 was the reading so i think that mafs ok.Only egr valve that has a slight leak is next step to see.The vibration on heavy acceleration was corrected with wheel balance. Any other sugestions for this shudder issue?

in the air box intake pipe in the wing, is this a hole that goes into the left front wheel(only seen whem you take out the filter housing) got this all off in changing my cambelt) .do you have to take off the front wheel cover (dirt protection) sorry the explanation dont know some tecnical terms for the parts

Do we have this snow screen if so where is located in galaxy how often does it have to be cleaned.looked up freds tdi forum they say it might cause shudder on the car thats what im expriencing between 1500 to 2000 revs the car has a slight shudder especialy when accelerating uphill.

well guys after speaking to mechanic about this vibration issue he told me the first thing to do was to balance my wheels doing this i found they where slightly out of balance and now the vibration has stoped.
