  1. Very strange indeed. Sounds a little like something is catching in the wind but its not that. It lasts a second or two then stops suddently (as if a flap is closing or something). Its like brrrrrrr, stop, brrrrrr, stop. Deffo from passenger side. Driving me mad. any ideas at all? (BTW - seems to be less with the blowers turned off completely - I think!)
  2. Well had the car serviced by someone else and the level checked - no problems there. The guy who did the service (independent not dealer) reckoned it was ok for him. Hmmm. Definitely not right if you ask me. I have noticed that in Sport mode its not the same or not as bad. Could it be just me or are the symptoms listed sound about right? Car is back next week for brake pads so might get him to change the fluid anyway.
  3. Right. So its just a case of holding button while starting ignition to reset?
  4. Yeh. No idea why he wasnt keen to just do the service check the levels etc but seemed too keen to go down the disaster route.
  5. Well arranged to have the car serviced by a mobile mechanic. Told him the problems and that I wanted the fluid changed. He told me no point doing service but for
  6. Thanks. To be honest, its overdue a service so that might just be it. Fingers crossed thats all it is.
  7. Been thinking its been doing this for a while. When it changes gear its not as smooth as it used to be. Its like if you take too long and leave your foot on the clutch when in a manual. Anyway, this weekend pulled my caravan and it seemed worse. Going uphills it was as if the car was revving slightly, then catching, then revving again over and over. Not extreme but noticeable. Anything oibvious to check?
  8. LOL. An hour. I have had problems in the past with previous cars. Probably more due to dodgy battery though....
  9. Sometimes, eat my lunch in the car. Rather than leave the engine running I hit the ignition button to turn engine off. Then it seems if you power on the radio it comes on (with a message saying 1 hr which I assume means its going to switch itself off in 1 hour - makes sense to avoid accidentally leaving it on). Always worry a bit that the batteries going to flatten. Any idea if this is a possibility?
  10. Im finding now that sometimes it works and sometimes it just goes mad. Towbar is obviously fitted now. Is there anything I can do now to sort it out?
  11. Presume this just means an oil service is due? Checked oil and its not oil level. Does this indicator do anything clever like monitor the state of the oil or is it just a time/mileage thing. Also, manual says oil needs to be changed asap. In reality, assume its not urgent.
  12. Hmmm. Is there any way around this? Apparently, you can't use an ISOFIX base with a support leg if it rests on top of any underfloor storage compartment. Any suggestions?
  13. BTW. Its the Sony DAB version.
  14. Was listening to radio and sound went funny. Went to CD and it shows DRIVE FAULT Now I get no sound out at all out of any (radio, aux) - never even used the CD drive. Any ideas? BTW - car is just under 3 years old - covered by warranty for ICE? Hopefully not relevant but I had a 3rd part tow bar fitted yesterday. Already having problems with reverse sensors, hope its not turning into an 'electrical' problem.
  15. 2010 Galaxy Titanium. Had tow bar fitted yesterday. At first, I'm pretty sure there wasn't an issue with the sensors. Towed caravan yesterday evening and, of course, sensors were affected. However, today, with no caravan they seem to be going mad when reversing. I'm sure I've read somewhere they're self-setting or something. Any ideas?
