£1800+VAT I can get it done for. Considering this to be honest.... even if I sell afterwards -
Galaxy 2010 - Transmission Problems

Alas, car is dead. New gearbox needed - best prices I can get for recon one is just over £2K. Also, seems to be a problem with fuel vapour valve (another few £100). MOT in 6 weeks and I know it needs a new wheel hub too (I've got that) and pretty sure rear brakes. Of course the worry then is the module is faulty also. Either way, it seems I can get close to £1000 scrap value so its not economically viable I dont think. (130k miles worth about £3500-£4000 I reckon). -

Garage have decided they can't do it because they think its the control module now. Have had no choice but to take to dealer now. (My mate is service manager so I wont get ripped off and at least get a discount). Other than it'd be running around trying to find someone whos got the equipment to configure the module. Although, dealer has said filter and fluid change is in order first off which may solve problem (£320 though!) -

Heres update - not sure I understand. Do they mean ECU? "The engineers is under to opinion that the car has an control unit fault and that is causing the problem as other data is normal. They are putting on a different test rig from the factory as we don’t have this equipment and can let you know by lunch time of the outcome." -

Compressor buggered.... Jeez. £500 fitted - seems a bit steep. Although I guess it all needs to be re-filled afterwards? Worth getting hold of 2nd hand one from scrapyard? Or are there too many different versions? -

Took it to Halfords autocenter (yes I know but its close to work). They put it on machine and it showed ZERO. They are saying its empty. But I said it cant be because it works intermittently. They want me to bring back tomorrow so they can use nitrogen to test for leak. Tempted to let an air con specialist look at instead to be honest. -

No. Displays says its on. And when I turn it on the engine does change slightly so I think its starting up ok. -
Was working fine earlier today. Now its just blowing same temp air. Display says on but it makes no difference. Anything obvious to check?

Two of them per side. The ones with star type head on each side of the headlight. Lost one of mine- need replacement

Headlamp Issues - Nightmare

Tried magnet but might try gregers suggestion? Failing that I've tried to get the glass/lens off but its not so easy? Does it even come off? -
Managed to drop the mainbeam bulb retaining clip inside the unit and it wont come out - its stuck. Any ideas where I can buy a replacement? Or is it possible to get the glass off - I tried and can't. Also, managed to snap off one of the brackets holding the unit in place so now its only held my one screw. Bad idea - not ideal. New unit, even 2nd hand is not cheap :-(
-
Yes thats where I can see it. Not sure if its still there though!

Easy enough to change a headlight bulb. Like the idea of removing the whole unit rather than trying to squeeze hand behind. Just done drop the screw like I did. Impossible to reach and it won't fall all the way through. Talking about the two torq screws that hold the headlight. Any ideas where to get replacements?
