ALARM MAN replied to a topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
Try your ICE car shop they may have an interconnecting lead From ford to another radio plug This may give you wiring colours Failing that look at rear of back speakers and the wires will correspond with the head unit connector do same with front Then test for pos neg lights on illumination And your there Ian -

Did mine the other day an absolute doddle Undo 2 screws at the back alan type ones Lift up gently on airbag there is enough slack on the connecting ribbon to let it sit on steering wheel And hey presto do your stuff and put it back! 1 screw to earth and all others are push on It looks like an expensive motor car again Not a Nissan Dangerous ( not if you nice and gentle ) Or ask you friend to hold it OH ER MISSIS Ian By the way do you know how to get airbags out of eyeball sockets mmmmmmmmmmm :( -

Yes 2 clips one each side White me thinks then push fuse box up and towards you it will come out far enough for you go get at the wires at the back Go on dont be shy

You folk ever thought of going to sleep in bed at night GNR have a nice road train im sure you could buy then you dont have to worry when to stop multiplying Ian

All info is a previous post re wiring Cdl wires will be found in loom to door indicators may not flash with new unit test to see if yellow wires need to be connected. Total closure you need to extend lock wire pulse using closure wire from rc box This must be a positive feed ensure this is the case if not use a relay to change it over Hope this helps Regards Ian

Central And Dead Locking
ALARM MAN replied to _dg's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Just a quick one Central locking locks doors + boot Deadlocking secures from inside and out Option 1 You leave your little girl/boy asleep in the car you can lock but not dead lock So if they wake up they can get out ! Imagine waking up and your locked in ( fire ) Panic Hey kids love that. Option 2 Also Pets maybe left in (you might not have one but plenty do) So if alarmed it turns it off for your Pet to plod around and no alarm setting off. Hope that clears up your thoughts Ian
