So.... can anyone tell me for definite, exactly which glow plugs I need for my tdi please?

Forgive my dumbness, but if the overall length is shorter, won't this affect the busbar being able to sit correctly?

If you choose to try the innotec turbo cleaner, id be keen to know what the results are as im considering using it on my turbo.

Yeah everywhere ive checked offers about 4 different plugs all for the auy engine. I dont wanna get too long and risk engine damage. Im stumped.

It seems I need 21mm fitting depth but these are only 58mm total length. That seems too short?

Just looked at eurocarparts and they list 3 different lengths for my reg number. One is 58mm long, one is 90mm long and one is 97mm long.

Ok so I'm going to replace them asap. But now my faith in eurocarparts has been lost as they supplied me with these incorrect ones. As ive not got the old ones to check, can anybody help me with sourcing the correct plugs for my 2002 tdi 115 auto (pd engine). Either the correct part number or a link. Thanks

Forgot to say, I also changed the offside driveshaft a while sgo due to split cv boots. Cant remember if the gurgling noise started after fitting the driveshaft or if it was there before.

Do you still get the gurgling noise if you accelerate gently? Reason I ask is that I get a gurgling noise when I accelerate moderately to hard. The noise comes from osf and there is also a very slight vibration. Ive had the car into a garage who were unable to pin down the cause.

Earlier this year I changed the glow plugs as my tdi was a bit clattery upon start up and a bit smokey. I got the glow plugd from eurocarparts so assumed they were the right ones for my engine. However upon fitting, I noticed the new plugs were about 10mm shorter than the old ones. Now the cold weather is back, the engine is clattery and smokey upon first start up. So my question is, would the glow plugs being too short have an impact on the starting. Should I be looking to replace them again?

What are your symptoms? Lack of power? Poor running?

I have a problem with the middle power socket not working. Its never worked since weve had the car. The front one worksand the one in the boot works. But the one on the rear of the console between the front seats doesn't work. Can anybody tell me if this socket should work or if its just for use with the media player that can be connected up? Its a 2002 mark 2 tdi ghia.

I dont know the actual code, just what the garage told me over the phone. I cant find my lead to hook up to my laptop with vcds lite either.

MAP sensor. Car showing Manifold pressure fault code.

Been told I need a new MAP sensor. Seen a lot of non OEM ones for sale online. Anybody bought one and can recommend a brand. Or anybody know a rough price from ford or VW? thanks

I drained just under 4 litres.

I think when I did my fluid change I only drained out and refilled just under 4 litres.

Had a mechanic take a quick look at my galaxy. 2002 1.9 tdi auto pd 155k miles. Symptoms are, loud rough growling noise when accelerating, clattery startup, falling fuel economy and loss of power. Struggles to stay at 70 on a slight incline, with cruise control on it drops to 60 before climbing back up. Mechanic said it showed signs of the timing being out. Said hed seen exact symptoms beofre and thats what it was. He recommended taking it back to garage that did the timing belt, 11 months / 13k miles ago. However, this garage reckon they cant identify any symptoms. They claim it drives the same as any other gaalaxy theyve driven. I have to go in latet today to show them the noise and power loss etc. So, can anyone comment on whether the symptoma are signs of timing being out? Would vcds lite show up timing issues?

First thing I would do is change the autobox fluid. Cheap and simple to do.

My reverse sensors are acting strange. They only seem to be working at very close distance. The beeping starts when an object is just a few inches from the sensor and it quickly goes to the continuous beep to tell you to stop. All rear sensors seem to be working, just not from the correct distance. Ive searched the forum but havent found a similar problem. Can anybody help please?
