Sorry yet another question ..... I have a 115 tdi and wondered what the temperature should be as it currently runs about 90 on the gauge but takes 5 mins to work its way out there!! Never seams to make it past 90 changing cam belt n water pump so I guess If I really need to could do thermostat as well but can't really afford to ( if I did do thermostat how much extra would I be looking parts and labour?) thanks for the help Lloyd

Sure this is a quick question for someone to answer "how much coolant does the car take?? Any better types / brands to use??)

My instrument lighting didn't light (of that makes sense!!) turned out it was the instrument lighting dimmer switch .... Changed that and can see to drive at night ( also heard if the light switch goes this happens worth checking )

Had a simmilar problem wires where loose behind the instrument lighting dimmer switch Also with checking if it's a short /open circuit at all the door gators I'd start drivers door and work around also in n out of the tail gate There is a link somewhere how to open the rubber door gators Good luck

Check the wiring at the door openings ( inside a black gatter) and at the boot opening if they have split maybe a short circuit!!!

Fixed it!!! It was the dimmer switch to the controls not clipped all the way in!!! Thanks for all the help!!! Wouldn't have thought of looking behind the switches!!!

No that's one of the things I did manage to check!!!! Having had a "look around" would the connection between the car and the boot on the drivers side affect the instrument lighting cos just with a visual inspection appears rubber gator is torn (all other electrics seam to work fine!)

Well now I know it's not the fuse!!! Where do I go from here??? Any help much appreciated !!!

Recently purchased a mk2 vw sharan all when the lights are turned on the "cockpit" lights such as instrument and cd don't light up .... Checked a few fuses ( which ones should I check??) what other things do I need to look at??? Thanks for the help!!!
